Hello, Im new to this website, actually this would be my very first post. I came across this whilst surfing the net.

I would like to bring a picture to this sites attention. I am at a loss for explanation, Im not sure what Im seeing in this picture and after working and replicating the photo I was unable to get the same result. If you look over my left shoulder you will see what appears to be an orange like form, as to what caused it, It i cannot be sure, i think its a lense flair but as the camera was mounted aand i was un able to get it in more than this photo im not sure whats going on.

any thoughts/suggestions or theories would be most appreciated.

its just behind my ear on the left side of my head. Im not sure what it is, but when I zoom in I swear theres a face, though it could be matrixing.

Thanks in advance

to me, it looks like a reflection of one of those lights, and from the camera person's point of view, it looks like this reflection is partially blocked by a short tree or something, so i'd say it's a combo of these 2

I thought it was a reflection as well it just seems odd. As per the tree blocking me, the tree is across the street from me, a good 35-40 feet. Said object looks to be about 6 feet behind me. Im a bit of a skeptic and this tossed me for a loop

It's actually a lense flare from a unnatural source. Normally this kinda thing happens when you are shooting a landscape and the sun reflects back in your camera lens and causes a flare, but the lights behind you are the cause of it instead.

Here is a natural lens flare from the sun....very similar.
