Lionel Blair won't work with children anymore

Lionel Blair has said that he won't work with children anymore because 'false claims' of inappropriate behaviour could end his career.

The 82-year-old veteran entertainer has spent 60 years in showbusiness, including a recent stint playing the child catcher in 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' in the West End, but has now decided that he won't put himself in the firing line.

I'm not a particular fan of his but it's a sad world when after 60 years he feels forced to take this kind of action. I don't blame his decision, it seems celebrities are a prime target nowadays.

Yeah definitely sad, but when that little boy said that about touching his nuts, you know things can only go downhill. He's smart to put a stop to things, before it gets out of hand.

Dont think its a case of ending his career but more tarnishing his name.

I completely agree with him, its sad to do it.

I don't find the claim particularly surprising, even if Lionel happens to be innocent.

A lot of high-profile celebrities seem to be accused of rape these days, since Jimmy Savile.

What claims have been made against him?
