Well, what can we say that hasnt been said already. We are going to be so ****ed im sure when this all passes.

Its amazing that the government was supposed to be for the people, of the people & by the people. I guess nowadays they misunderstand WHICH people this refers to.

Its amazing that we get in others business because the leaders of a country arent leading to our standards....well....when are they going to realize that they need to take care of their own country first!

But the only promises that are kept it seems is the ones that the American people dont know about.

It's up to us. We can let it go or make the system work...'they' are counting on apathy. The system works good..it's just a bunch of damn crooks have invaded the political system and cleared the way for crooks in the private sector and banking. As bad as it is...it can be fixed but the ones getting the money from the corrupt system is not going to it...why should they? We have got to change some hinneys sitting in congressional seats in the mid-term elections and audit the Feds.

Yes, it would be the same. Everyone knows that. But the bad part is....is that if someone honest came into office and had alot of the answers and Americans loved him....he would not live to finish his job thats for sure. too many outside interests to make a legitimate push for progress.

Maybe it is time to make some suggestions on some type of changes we'd like to see.

What would you like to see in a new government structure? (Please be serious in suggestions and dont ridicule any ideas ....be a constructive critic).

My suggestions or lets call them starting points, lets discuss and adjust as we need to:

Maybe we need a new system where they are only elected every two years. If they havent done anything productive (for the people)in that time...they are out of office and cant run a second term in a row.

IF they get caught laundering or misusing the tax payers money for anything other than what it was designated for....(Unless the people approve the adjustment)......then they should get prison time and NEVER be able to run again. I would have a multi-level audit system for a less chance of anyone getting the urge to embezzle any money.

I would base their salary equal across the board per level of office. Any raises they would like, they would have to prepare a "case" to the American people and it would be up to us who gets the raise and how much...we would be in fact...THEIR "employer" so-to-speak, so they would get evaluated as the rest of us do when we try and get that raise in our place of employment.

I would try as a government to work to keep all these companies from leaving America. Try and help them return if possible. I would give them whatever was sensibly feesible.....via: tax breaks, wage capping -( without underpaying for a specific job).....or whatever else we can think of to try.

I would like to find a way to "tax" the oil companies for 3 years to give back what they took from the American people from their price gouging. This money wold not be able to be written off for them. It would however, be tax free to the Americans. (tough one there but wouldnt it be nice.... )

Relook at all trade agreements and encourage economic growth here by tax incentives and tax the goods coming in the country from domestic corporations..that could do business here. Disband the unions...they aren't needed anymore. With an equal playing field and fairer trade...the market will set the wage.

Enforce the anti-trust laws...no more monopoly's...bigger is not better as has been proven. Small business is 75% of the US economy. If companies run out of money paying CEO's too much or not producing...send them the way of the dinosaur.

Bear down on Wall Street and the banks. They think they own the money. That's why they steal it...they don't think its stealing.

Shut down all military bases not vital to our security and bring em home.

Close our borders and change the immigration laws. Start acting like a 'country' instead of a big sow with a lot of teats to feed everyone that comes here illegally. We can't afford to be 'Santa Clause' anymore.

Im tired of this country being so politically correct on immigration. The politicians talk about how great this country is, but they are more worried about making EVERYONE happy or just plain ignoring the real issue of immigration. Lets try making the Americans happy for once. If your not from here and are here illegally, you will be treated as a threat.

The new health care plan says I go to jail if I don't have insurance...why should'nt they be exported or jailed if they break the law? It gets confusing when some people are 'special' and the laws don't apply. In fact...it gets discriminatory.

If I'm not mistaken it says you'd be fined not "go to jail". Not quite the same thing now is it? If you break the law in the US, that does not mean you necessarily go to jail. There are many remediations. I'm pretty sure not getting health insurance is not a criminal offense but a civil one.

Nope, it would take off pressure on unemployment, reduce crime and save billions in health care and education.

If the law is not followed then courts will get involved. That's how government works. Neither of us can predict the future. If there is a crack, then an additional law would have to be passed. Government does the best it can, and then patches later what comes up. That's how it works. I'm sure you know this.
