Jan. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden blamed the U.S and other industrial nations for global climate change and called for a boycott of the U.S. dollar, in an audio tape obtained by al-Jazeera television.

Bin Laden criticised George W. Bush, the former U.S. president, for rejecting the Kyoto Protocol on carbon emissions and condemned industrial nations for failing to comply with reduction targets, al-Jazeera said today. The al-Qaeda leader denounced globalization’s “tragic implications.”

The U.S. are the “true terrorists and therefore we should refrain from dealing the U.S. dollar and should try to get rid of this currency as early as possible,” Bin Laden said in the audio tape. He compared U.S. policies to those of the mafia, al- Jazeera reported.

Bin Laden earlier this week claimed responsibility for the failed attempt to blow up a U.S airliner in Detroit on Dec. 25, and vowed to carry out more attacks.

is it me, or can you only see things in Left or Right? You have to divide everything between the two and ignore the fact that the world isn't strictly left or right.

All I'm saying is that this guy sounds a lot like the left in this country. Look at what he has to say on Iraq, Afghanistan, global warming, American "imperialism", capitalism, etc, and then see what the left has to say about those things. They sound exactly the same.

Of course, he really doesn't believe in any of that, he's simply using it as a recruiting tool, and to fool the gullible left into supporting him.

But Osama is practically a Socialist of a specific Islamic type, so why cannot he be a leftie? After all he bites US not because Americans do not believe in Quran, but because they support the King of SA. He's gonna install Caliphate and share all oil between the faithful believers, this would be probably a 330 ml can per capita every day.

He hates freedom. Like he really, really hates it. I even heard that he almost didn't declare Jihad on the US because he felt it might be to much of an exercise of his own freedom to declare jihad. Thats a true story btw.

Anyway, if Osama says the US is to blame then we better all start buying carbon credits to prove him wrong laugh.gif

In Osama's next tape he will be speaking for the pharmaceutical industry and will say hes proud of Americans for not getting the H1N1 vaccine.

Then hes scheduled to do a tape for the Banksters, where he says we shouldn't keep bailing the banks out.

Lastly, Osama will be doing a tape for the department of parks and recreation where he will praise the American people for littering.

And there are rumors that he might do a tape for McDonalds where he tells people to eat at Burger King.

Who cares what he says? He doesn't gives rats ass about the environment. He's just saying what he thinks will best help his insane cause. The way people try to determine what the correct position to have is based on what he says is as crazy as he is. If he supports cap and trade some will say it means we shouldn't. If he attacks cap and trade others will say it's proof we should. His rhetoric should be ignored entirely. It's just a mind game from a lonely man in a cave.

Hmmm.

The United States began training insurgents in, and directing propaganda broadcasts into Afghanistan from Pakistan in 1978. Then, in early 1979, U.S. foreign service officers began meeting insurgent leaders to determine their needs. According to the then US National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, CIA aid to the insurgents within Afghanistan was approved in July 1979, six months before the Soviet Invasion.

We started training them in early 1979. Lets see who started that.

United States President Jimmy Carter insisted that what he termed "Soviet aggression" could not be viewed as an isolated event of limited geographical importance but had to be contested as a potential threat to US influence in the Persian Gulf region. The US was also worried about the USSR gaining access to the Indian Ocean by coming to an arrangement with Pakistan.

Hmmm, Jimmy Carter started supporting them in 1978 with radio stations, then starts training them in 1979. Also, Jimmy Carter is a democrat.

Didn't you get the memo???

Its ALWAYS the republicans fault..even when its not the republicans fault, its their fault.

Even on cases where facts are proven that it could not possibly be the republicans fault,... it still is the republicans fault.

Thats because they done so much s*it over time, and gotten away with it, so their checks is on a steady minus forever. ;)

As a die hard democrat "was" ... I used to have the same ideology. Blame the republicans. Yet I grew up and still have clashes with my family for doing so.

I will state however that it is the "dumbo" and the "jackass" who have gotten away with everything, thanks to a very stupid two party system ... without balance. It is like a pendulum which swings from "dumbo" on the right to "jackass" on the left and never stops for we who are in the middle.

Things can change though ... all the "dumbo's" have to do is to go back to a "tiny bit" of Reagonomics mixed with some "we the people" democratic ideas and walah!!!!! ... America is back on their feet once again.

All we have to do in the middle is to kick the hell out of "dumbo" and "jackass" everytime they try to swing past us without us knowing. It is up to us to stop the clock before the pendulum strikes midnight ... as in "lights out america"!!! Maybe with a third party ... in the middle we can do so and therefore stop any "Bin Ladens" in their tracks before we strengthen them with our ignorance.

I still have hope for america ... as long as we are willing to take the battery out of this "CROCK CLOCK" ticking timebomb known to me as the donkaphant.

It started under Jimmy Carter. so your saying we should have let Russia just slaughter them? its clear that if Reagan didn't give Afghanistan the stinger missile, they would have been slaughtered because they couldn't stop the Russian helicopters (the Hind) that killed almost 5% of the population and thats how they got the nick-name "Shaitan-Arba" or Satan's Chariot by Afghan rebels.

How Carter was involved before the Russian invasion

The CIA's Intervention in Afghanistan

Here is what happened under Regan and the democratic congress. there was a good documentry on the war called Charlie Wilson's War.

no but it was better for the soviets to take afganistan. by the way we supported the taliban there not al quida.

by the way if you give a bat to a person and he starts hitting others with it, then you have to take it away from him.

For the record...Charlie Wilson's War was not a documentary.
