here is an interesting link for you robbie that discusses both dog and human diet:

http://articles.animalconcerns.org/ar-voic...tural_diet.html

edit:
as a follow-up to what I was saying to sheri above:

I remember when I worked at the zoo every now and again somebody would complain that rabbits (not live - previously frozen) were fed to the tigers claiming it was cruel to the rabbits.

People have been too sanitized to how animals eat.

pretty much.  People like rabbits so they don't think other animals should be eating them.  Seriously (i say that because of how stupid what I am about to type sounds), one person asked me why we couldn't just feed the tigers lettuce and broccoli.

LOL!  be very afraid of the fierce broccoli-eating tiger!!!!   tongue.gif   But really, people can be so silly!  As much as I dislike the fact that they are eating bunnies, they have to eat meat!  Let's just hope the bunnies had a good life, while it lasted, and that they met their maker without too much distress involved.  crying.gif   tongue.gif

If the bunny wasn't fed to your dog, it be eaten by someone else's dog anyway.
