Woman pins herself with her own vehicle

A driver was injured Remembrance Day when she somehow pinned herself with her own van in a McDonald’s drive-thru in Courtenay.......

“It was at this time that her foot appears to have released from the brake,” said Hall, “which then set her van in motion, pinning her between the wall and her van.

“The van also rear-ended another vehicle in the drive-thru.”

Poor woman! BUT, that is why you have a park setting on your van.

LOL! I was actually in a store when an elderly fella thought he was stepping on the brakes, but hit the gas. It was pretty crazy. He didn't make it into the building but the damage was incredible.

When in a drive thru, I always put my car in neutral and have my left foot on the brake.

Takes only a second to shift and move forward when it's my turn.

If it's a long line I turn my engine off.
