Pet dog sets fire to home

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

A pet dog set fire to a family home while hunting for biscuits while his owners were out.

Leo, a Staffordshire-boxer cross, managed to turn on the electric hob - destroying the family's kitchen and nearly burning down the house.

Grandfather of five Allen Mosey, his owner, said his family were now having to live on sandwiches while their blackened kitchen is repaired.

Leo didn't know any different, the bad poor dog just wanted a treat.

Leo is unblamable because he has been provoked by a bunch of aggressive, drunken and cheeky hooligan biscuits in his own home.

This is no joke. I have a friend who has a Giant Schnauzer. "George" has set his face on fire TWICE doing this. My friends have an island range, which is gas and the knobs are on the front of the range. George keeps jumping up to look over the island rather than walking his lazy butt around to see what people are up to in the family room. His chest bumps into the knobs and his big old schnauzer beard goes up in flames. My friends have had to retrofit their range so the knobs are in the counter and out of accidental dog ignition range. LOL. George is fine, the house is fine... thankfully he'd always done it when people were in the immediate area.

How do they know he was actually looking for biccies?

he may of intended to start the fire or his ecig charger may be dodgy.

There is always something to laugh about when you have dog pet in your house :D Even when they do terrible mistakes and make you lose much money, you can't hate them :D

Everything ends up with a smile.

from the article:

Pet dog sets fire to Peckham home as he reaches for biscuits

Staffordshire-boxer cross Leo destroys kitchen of south London home by turning on electric hob and starting blaze as he tries to reach biscuits

A pet dog set fire to a family home while hunting for biscuits while his owners were out.

Mr Mosey, 67, said there were some biscuits nearby the dog had been trying to reach.

..... it sounds like Leo couldn't get to the biscuits, and lost it. "Fire investigators have concluded the fire in Peckham, south London, began when Leo turned on the electric hob, causing a child's booster seat resting on top to catch fire.

....... i think he did it on purpose.

You may have a point there... Have the owners checked recently if they have any life insurance, and who'd benefit? Indeed, if so, was it signed by a human, or by a doggy footprint...!
