Ignus Fatuus Posted March 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2008 My closest friend, whom I grew up with had a very interesting grandfather. From Ireland his grandfather was the pastor of Mt. McCanan church of god here in kentucky where the mountains meet the bluegrass. Reverand Foster interesting enough was also the areas water witch. When someone in the area were to build a new home, it was he that came and located the place to put their well. A lot of times he was put to the fire for doing this. I met him quite a few times as a child and saw him in action a couple of times. He said that God gave the earth it's own life force, which I am almost certain of now after studying these types of subjects since getting out of college a few years back. My question is how many dousers are there on this forum? What are your beliefs on Ley Lines/Hartman grid? If you use dousing during your ghost hunts, what exactly is your method? Finally in your opinion, why is it that dousing is not a widely accepted scientific research tool? A study I read recently combated hydrologists against dousers. Let's just say the it opened the minds of the hydrologists!! Look forward to hearing your remarks......
Mr Honeybadger Posted March 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2008 I've used bent wires to help locate underground water lines. But the problem is besides crossing for the water lines, they would also cross for sewer lines, telephone lines, and both underground and overhead power lines. But I have seen people use a forked tree branch. ( cherry or willow maybe ), and that branch would pull straight towards the ground.
