Car trouble blues

It's not too bad.  My battery has just quit on me a couple of times yesterday and then again this morning.  However, if you read my blog with any regularity (you KNOW you are addicted  devil.gif )  you'll remember that I am proud not-owner of no cell phone.  In instances where your transportation dies on you, they do come in handy, I'll admit. rolleyes.gif

Oh well, it just forces me to do my best 'damsel in distress' impression and let fly with some Southern charm.  "Why thank you, sir. I can always depend on the kindness of strangers."

But alas, now that I have made it to the shop, I do have to blow $70 on a new battery.  Bah.  disgust.gif  I hate spending money on things that are absolutely no fun.

That sucks. I would hook you up but all I have is $10 for milk and bread oh and cheese,  rofl.gif

I will give you a ring on your um oh crap we will have to rig up some can phones with the string girl.  tongue.gif

Edit: Make that $85.

Too bad you didn't own a standard.
No battery necessary, just b*m start it.
Great way to meet new strangers too...for you need push power, but it does open up endless encounters and possibilities original.gif
Or----a need to constantly park on a hill  grin2.gif

Be thankful, though, Jenn, that this was a battery. For earlier this year I experienced the joy of having to rebuild a transmission. Oh, the smiles lasted for days. disgust.gif

Yeah, I fully agree that it could have been a lot worse.  I was worried about the alternator at first, but it is fine now. hmm.gif

sad.gif Oh Jenn, please let me know when you need something. We know all the best places to shop and have done much price checking. Plus, my brother-in-law has a starter and alternater shop and could have gotten it for you wholesale. hmm.gif

Thank you, Michelle!  wub.gif  Happily it was just the battery, but I will know who to call next time! yes.gif

Jumper cable are wholesome. But not on your nipples. This is something you must understand.

Don't worry, Moe. After that last time, I won't be trying it anymore.  unsure.gif

"Jump start my heart" my ass.  disgust.gif

I never fool with jumper cables. I was always afraid my hair would fall out and I would fry my eyelashes.  blink.gif

Just Like...

Sweet Melinda
The peasants call her the goddess of gloom
She speaks good English
And she invites you up into her room
And you're so kind
And careful not to go to her too soon
And she takes your voice
And leaves you howling at the moon

We've got Armadillos in our trousers.

We choose a thing because it just happened to be beneath our noses at that moment in time. It is not necessarily what we want, but it is interesting, and the longer we gaze at it, the more compelling it becomes.

It takes spirit, will, and soulfulness and it often means holding out for what one wants.
