Republicans threaten move to Canada

It began with some Democrats pondering leaving if Barack Obama didn't get a second term....

http://www.cbc.ca/news/yourcommunity/2012/11/republicans-threaten-move-to-canada-after-obama-win.html

I know a couple who moved up here after Bush was voted in for his second term.

I like this comment by Anna Coles:

For those saying "if Obama wins I'm going to Australia" our PM is a single atheist woman & we have universal health care & mandatory voting.

The American public have no clue what Socialism is, having never experienced it.They should have tried living under the English Labour party back in the 70's..

LOL, too true!

Actually, what makes them think they can just move here? Unless their plan is to be illegal aliens, they aren't going to be having an easy time of it.

Just another topic they do not understand...

I'll admit I tried when Bush got elected but they would only allow me to Quebec.

They should go since they can't understand good ideas when written down maybe seeing it in action they might get the picture. (somebody has to stop things from going over people's heads come on now)

Well, being, as it is, the party of angry old men lately we have to pardon them for not thinking it through.

Sure. It should take them about three years after they file the immigration request. Unless they think they can just show up like its their right.

On a slightly off-topic note, Republicans should consider moving to a country known for "conservative values" such as Japan or South Korea and Taiwan (anti-communist government), maybe the Philippines where the cost of living for the USDollar is relatively cheap. I don't know about moving to Mexico when millions of its citizens moved north to this country, what Republicans escaping Obama want is a free market capitalist system and strong sociocultural values...enjoy living in the third world, known for some real authoritarian regimes not for the light of heart of Libertarianism. If you're into the economy, you would move to China in a heartbeat...even if it's hardline socialist.

LOL, that would be hilarious! Although, if I remember correctly, didn't the US want to build a fence so that drug dealers couldn't get in form Canada a while back?

I recall watching an episode of "American Dad" when Stan was stationed in Saudi Arabia and he fell in love with a place shares much of his right-wing moral values. But be advised saudi Arabia and the oil-rich Persian Gulf nation-states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE) are under a fundamentalist Islamic culture where things like alcohol and pork are forbidden, and women are ordered to follow strict gender roles or under custodial supervision of their husbands or male relatives. Saudi Arabia is the most observant of Wabhabism where the rules are strictly enforced by the Muwadein (sp?) or morality police, the kingdom is notorious in human rights violations such as the treatment and religious liberties of its' guest workers, mostly from India and southern Asia.

I'll bet Canada, unlike us, doesn't coddle her illegals, either.
