Simbi Laveau Posted May 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) My uncle has been all over the world ,and done some odd stuff. I spent the day with him today, and somehow we got on the topic of spiders ,and he taught me a few things I didn't know ,including one about bats and spiders . As a huge fan of bats ,I was appalled by that one . He also told me ,about spiders (tarantulas mostly .Big hairy ones),as food .Turns out , he had it,in Africa ,said it cooked up,and tasted like crab . He didn't want to offend the locals so.... *shudders* http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-205_162-57574855/bat-eating-spiders-are-everywhere-study-finds http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Are_there_any_cultures_who_eat_spiders_as_a_delicacy Edited May 10, 2013 by Simbi Laveau
Q-C Posted May 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) Death by spider, not something I'd want to experience. I thought they might taste like a "Blooming Onion". They sound crispy like that when roasted. A bit (or lots) of mayo/Dijon dip and good to go... Edited May 10, 2013 by QuiteContrary
