Universal Absurdity Posted October 22, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2004 The error that i get is 'the server is too busy to handle your request' i think its from too many guests perusing the forum, and the large amount of members logged in (i noticed just now that there were close to 120 users on) Usually it only lasts a few minutes. Elvis Posted October 22, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 22, 2004 I get that problem too, but after a couple of failed attempts at entering the site/switching pages, I log off the internet and log back on, and everything has magically resolved itself. Saru Posted October 23, 2004 #19 Share Posted October 23, 2004 This appears is an Apache issue, at various times in the evening Apache server fails or slows down to a crawl, hence the site goes down for 5 minutes while the service restarts itself. This problem only seems to happen in the evening (GMT). The front page broken banner is just another symptom of the same problem. I'm going to have to report it to server support, i have no explanation for why it's happening or how to fix it. With any luck they will know what to do.
