What part of "Leadership" did you not understand??

The President has to show Leadership in a time of crisis. If Obama is running for the office (effectively interviewing for the job, showing he can "do the job") then claiming he has no input because he isn't on the right committee but you can call anytime if you need him doesn't send a message of confidence or leadership.

Combined with, as I've stated many many times here, all during the campaign he and his supporters have said Obama is a great leader, great organizer, great unifier, great healer, great concensus builder etc.

So if this is an example of his approach during a crisis - to claim he has no ability to be part of the proposed solution because he isn't on the the committee but he is always available by phone if we need him - this rings out a resounding FAILURE on his part.

Was that plain enough for you or do I need to type slower?

So should he stall the campaign?

Do you think ANYONE could do what would be nessacary to unite the democrats and republicans on this bailout bill?

He did the reasonable thing by continuing the campaign/debates... he went to washington and did what the other senators needed him to do (nots sure what that was)..

So is that going to be Obama's get-out-of-jail-free card whenever there's a national crisis?

He did the reasonable thing by continuing the campaign/debates... he went to washington and did what the other senators needed him to do (nots sure what that was)..

Lets see...
Obama(Like Mccain) could have gone to Washington in a huff(Mccains good at the huff) after suspending his campaign(kinda) and blowing off Letterman (to do a Katie Couric Interview after telling letterman he was leaving to go to washing-telling yet another lie-lots of those lately) and taking 20+ hours to get to Washington(He could have ridden a bicycle there in that time...after several interviews during his "suspended campaign")by the time he got there, there was a plan in place that immediately fell apart as soon as he got into town...

I guess Obama could have then gone on to taken credit for getting the bill passed(Like mccain did) when the republicans then split and then made the bill fail miserable and had his own party members who had come out in support of him coming to Washington to help with the bill actually vote against it(as mccains republicans did). How embarrassing that must be.

Then the best thing is that obama could have acted like the saviour of a failed bill, and then immediately blamed everyone else when it didnt work out. He didnt though, That was mccain that acted like an idiot. Thats not leadership, thats grandstanding and acting like a fool trying desperately to win an election. If people cant see the things he does as political stunts...well then I guess we all get what we deserve.

If Mccain was the leader he claimed to be, he would be more worried about the country and less worried about political stunts to try and get himself elected. I guess after he loses this elected he can go on tour with the likes of David Blaine and other masters of deception.
Too many people on both sides of the spectrum have fallen into this mentality that a full one half of the country are the enemy for having different beliefs...in a country based on freedom of expression. It is this infighting that allows the focus to be taken away from "we the people" being able to watch, and have control over government corruption and ineptitude that is running rampant in our leadership.

People should be working towards fixing problems, not creating them.
