Wrong Move

This happened 5 years ago, me and my friends went on a medical mission, on our way to the site we saw a pile up and took a video of the incident. A woman laid dead on the ground while other people were visibly injured. I focused my cam on the lady, after the police and paramedics arrived we left and during the entire trip talked about the accident we just witnessed. I told my friends I took a recording of the dead lady and all of them said I should delete it. I said yes but forgot to delete it. After the medical mission I went home, tired and exhausted the first thing I did was head to my room and sleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night and saw lady in front of my bedroom door. I thought I was dreaming so I took a second glance and guess what it was the lady that died in the accident. She was in my room and in the same position when I took the video. Scared ****less the first thing I did was go out of my room so when I was able to grab the door knob I realized she's gone but when I turned around she was right smack on my bed and looking at me. I ran and went out of the house in the middle of the night.

Welcome to UM,

It is an interesting story but i feel i have an explanation of what happened. Well it seems you suffered from what is commonly called sleep paralysis or hypnagogia. Clearly it was on your mind, some one dying/dead can put a lot of emotional stress on a person. I have seen death in the past and i also suffer hyonagogia.

What happens is you are half a sleep still and you see things, I have seen dead friends, monsters, ghosts, zombies, murderers, robbers, giant insects, swarm of insects running a long the wall etc. it can be very frightening if you never experience it before, heck it still scares me when it happens.

Triggers can be stress, deep in thought, weird sleeping behaviors, emotional distress, fear, eating certain foods or just greasy foods, drinking sugary or caffeinated drinks, working long stretches.

Wait, why the hell would you video tape that? What kind of "medical mission" were you on?

Faces of Death ? lol, I don't know. but it seems really odd.

What is a medical mission firstly?

I guess the OP and his/her friends were on a different medical mission (and not the accident itself), and on their way they came across an accident scene, and decided to call for help, but morbid curiosity got the better of the OP so he/she videotaped the dead lady. More posts from the OP would be nice, The ghost stories section has so many threads with just one or two OP posts that it never really goes anywhere at all.

If their medical mission was the pile up, I wonder who called them, and why they were first to the scene and not the cops/paramedics.

and I think 'medical mission' some kind of volunteer work for an organization, I don't know. The OP's gone though, that's all that matters.

It's really sad. Poor lady. Maybe you felt guilty for keeping her image on the camera. Either way, perhaps her spirit was uncomfortable with her dead photo being on a strangers' camera for morbid reasons or other. Did you delete the photo afterwards?
