In no particular order The Game FIght Club Fallen Empire Strikes Back (Yes Vader being Luke's dad is a twist) Sixth Sense Memento 12 Monkeys There's more, but that list should do for starters. Essan Posted June 15, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 15, 2005 The Crying Game has one of the most shocking twists of any film!
nick_fury Posted June 15, 2005 #9 Share Posted June 15, 2005 try BASIC starring john travolta and sam jackson, very under-rated in my opinion

about:blank Posted June 15, 2005 #12 Share Posted June 15, 2005 The Usual Suspects should be watched by all. Saw had an excellent twist. Great line from the mastermind "Gameover!" Fallen is a good flick. I haven't watched it in a while, but the concept is very interesting. I believe Mr. Washington is the star. Identity has a good twist. Memento - What more can you say? Great twist, Great film. Phone Booth is a somewhat obvious twist if you watch 24 or the classic vampire flick "The Lost Boys." Thats a few I can think of. Purplos Posted June 15, 2005 #13 Share Posted June 15, 2005 ""The Usual Suspects should be watched by all. "" I agree completely. Good flick. And I happen to know the writer. Or met him several times in the past I should say. My sister dated him.
~TheBigK~ Posted June 15, 2005 #14 Share Posted June 15, 2005 I think The Sixth Sense has the best twist. Saw and Fight Club's twists were cool. Secret Window had one too.
Talon Posted June 15, 2005 #15 Share Posted June 15, 2005 Empire Strikes Back That has to be the ultimate twist
jpalz Posted June 15, 2005 #16 Share Posted June 15, 2005 Mmm... besides the ones that were mentioned here before, I think Vertigo had a great twist
The Skeptic Eric Raven Posted June 15, 2005 #17 Share Posted June 15, 2005 The Villiage was so bad that I would not waste your time. It was the second movie in my life that I actually fell asleep in(Titantic was the first). The twist in this movie was so bad I might never watch this guys moves again. girty1600 Posted June 15, 2005 #18 Share Posted June 15, 2005 (edited) Identity was defiantly good. 12 Monkeys was great as were The Usual Suspects, Basic and some others that were mentioned. Murder of Crows had a great twist with Cuba Gooding Jr. as the main character. Frequency with Dennis Quade was awesome! The Recruit had Al Pachino and shocked the hell out of me... I am sure there are more, just can't think of them right now. Edited June 15, 2005 by girty1600
Talon Posted June 16, 2005 #19 Share Posted June 16, 2005 The Sixth Sense had a pretty poor twist, I've never seen it, but my parents guessed it the moment they saw the trailer, long before they saw it in the cinema. They also correctly predicted the Villages' ending

Talon Posted June 16, 2005 #22 Share Posted June 16, 2005 I don't tend to go with them myself, like different types of movies Its just with these movies they looked at the advert in one case, the first 10 minutes of the movie in another, and knew the ending. Now if you want the twist everyone saw comming it was Anakin Skywalker turning to teh darkside ... although I do actually know people who've never seen any star wars movie (how is that possible?!) and so wouldn't see it comming....hmm
