Seeing something you can’t explain doesn’t make you a believer. That’s not what I said.

If you indeed saw something you couldn’t explain – most may call it a ghost – but who can tell us what a ghost even is? Nobody that I’ve ever heard of. So why would you say you believe in ghosts? I wouldn’t either.

How can we say we believe something that we don’t understand? Some say faith. I don’t think that’s the fully correct answer.

My theory on ghosts is this:
You have a soul, a spirit, and a body (much like the trinity - God, Holy Spirit/Ghost, and Jesus) – possibly what the bible means by us being created in His image? idk, its just my theory.

Our soul lives on for eternity even after our physical bodies are dead, that leaves the spirit… spirit=ghost

Until the end of the world or the rapture or whatever, I think our spirits have the ability to either stay in the graves with our bodies, or roam about the earth doing whatever it is they want to do. My theory is that our spirit is the driver between our souls (hardware) and our physical bodies (software) - for any of you techies out there. This also means when someone is possessed by a demon, the demon spirit or “driver” takes over and controls our bodies. I actually think our life on earth may be sort of a virtual machine, I could go into great detail about that as well but I’ve already jumped way off topic…

Demons, Ghosts, possibly aliens/ufos… they’re all from another realm or dimension – I call the spirit world. Many people don’t believe in one or all of these things because they don’t have proof or an explanation as to what they saw (if they were even lucky enough to see anything at all)… from then on, it’s a conscience decision – a personal decision – as to whether or not you believe that what you saw was “a miracle” or you say "ghosts arent real because what i saw wasnt a ghost". If you choose to be ignorant towards the spirit revealing itself to you, im in no position to say anything bad could come of it… but I’ve never heard of anything good coming out of being ignorant…

And why you ask would not believing that SOMETHING miraculous or spiritual or whatever is happening and not accepting it as real – why would that be ignorant? Because it’s going against your conscience/spirit. I think that’s dangerous.

Before anyone tries to flame me to hell and back – no I don’t have all the answers and like I stated - these are my own theories and don’t take anything I say as the truth. Find out for yourself.

All of that to say, you don’t have to label what you see as “ghost” “demon” “alien”… just be aware that there are strange things out there that we don’t understand, and think about it… there has to be a reason behind their actions... there has to be a reason some whitness these rare occurances... we aren't just a bunch of loonies (well i may be but i know not everyone is!)

I gotta go, I'll try and keep up with this more often than last.

Speaking as an atheist myself and someone who has and does take part in online religious discussions with fellow atheists and others, I've never heard an atheist refer to themselves as "hardcore".  It's always those who like to emphasize how they used to be atheists who insist on the word "hardcore" or similar descriptions.  Almost like they're deliberately over-exaggerating.

Haters - Hardcore ... I have a particularly unique vocabulary.

Where im from - haters has a wide spectrum of meanings, kind of like the word love.

In my experience, most people that ive known that are atheists were proclaiming they were atheists for attention, mostly out of rebellion of parental authority or whatever other reason - rather than having an actual belief system. I say hardcore meaning, I truly believed there was no god.

Why focus on the unimportant details instead of focusing on my actual message? I've been accused of over exaggerating my story also, its just the way i write.

The word 'hater' is used as a pejorative word to describe people who you believe are jealous of others abilities or achievements.  That is by far the most common usage of it online so you should be careful if you mean something non-insulting by a word most commonly used to put down others.

Then you haven't met much atheists or your experience with atheists is with an unrepresentative minority of stupid emo types.

I've known and interacted with enough atheists to know that yours is a viewpoint of atheists held by those who have typically no actual knowledge or experience with atheists or atheism.

A significant amount of atheists aren't even openly declaring themselves as atheists because they live in religious families or communities that look down upon it.

Most atheists are grown up adults who have no need for attention seeking or rebelling against parents by declaring an unpopular viewpoint on religious matters.

A significant amount of atheists are those who had non-religious upbringings and thus were never indoctrinated into any sort of religion so have nothing to rebel against.  It's just what they've always thought about the world.

So I seriously question your experience with atheists as being representative of them as a whole.

Maybe you called yourself a hardcore atheist when you were a rebellious teenager and others you knew did also and have extrapolated that to atheists in general, but the atheist as attention seeker or rebelling against authority is a factually inaccurate description of atheists in general.
