Hammys Teddy Posted May 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2004 Hi all, Most of us at one point or another will probably encounter home pager/browser 'hijackers' It is usually hijacked by 'coolwebsearch or CWS' or one of its many varients. If you have or know of someone who has this problem then this link may be of use to you http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html Look for CWS shedder download and run, by clicking the next biutton and it will scan and remove any of the various types of CWS you may have. Dowdy Posted May 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2004 i had that. That was a real b****! It doesn't just take over your browser, it also slows your computer down so much. It slowed mine so much that i thought i needed a new HDD, i thought mine was busted. Than i found out it was a hijacker and got rid of it.
