No proof that moose get drunk

The “drunken” Swedish moose that get so much attention this time of year may be a myth.

Swedish Radio Science News asked about a dozen researchers, and many say the animals, which weigh between about 450 and 1,200 pounds, are simply too large to get drunk on the amount of fermented apples they are reported to eat.

Professor Petter Kjellander, expert on wild animals at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, says that neither he nor the colleagues he asked has ever come across a test confirming high blood alcohol in a moose

Cinnamon fermented apple pie really sounds good to me right now. :w00t::devil:

Couldn't read the rest of the article, my laptop had a hard time downloading the page. Anyhow, could it be that moose are loosing the gamble of trying to fit the big bodies into little places?
