LostSouls7 Posted October 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2015 I have but never saw one. Just opening doors opening cabinets.. doors slaimming... voices in my ears... nightmares etc. I only saw them in dreams. But saw the door opening and slamming on its own. I got rid of them once I took a lot of dark things out of my life.
Aftermath Posted October 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2015 When and where did the encounter take place? I had many encounters throughout my childhood and late teens (18-19) in my childhood home. I also had an encounter in my mid-thirties in a machine shop I was using as a temporary office space. Has there been any change at all in your; health, political or religious views, views on our origins or afterlife, or your personality? No. Have there or are there any marks on or in your body following the encounter? No. Were you on any medications or supplements including vaccines and herbs? No. Was this an isolated event or has it reoccurred? Through childhood it was eventful, reoccurred here and there. The encounter at the machine shop was a one time event. Was the experience enjoyable or not? The encounters in during my childhood and late teens were innocuous. The encounter at the machine shop was terrifying. Mark One Posted October 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) Yes I have, in a flat I lived at for around 18 months. Started with: finding things out of place, shoes separated - one in the front room and the other in the kitchen, books found on the floor, scratches on my body. Carried on with: seeing items fall off of shelves for no reason, hearing the washers door being slammed shut.in the kitchen, footstep sounds along the tiled hallway late at night - I even sprinkled flour along that passage with hope of capturing some foot prints, doors shutting in the middle of the night. Ended with: finding the TV or stereo system on when I got home., losing things and finding them in odd places, weird dreams, strange noises in the kitchen, I got really scared, found another flat and moved out. EEHC Posted October 15, 2015 #9 Share Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) I think I have in a dream. It was my grand-mother who passed away only a few days before at that time. We communicated in a very direct and concise manner. Some might dismiss it as the product of my unconscious and imagination but it felt more than that to me. Dunno.. Edited October 15, 2015 by Sam. Frank Merton Posted October 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Shortly after we got married, back in the 1960s, we took a honeymoon of sorts to New York City, where we encountered a ghost. I awoke and the ghost, an elderly Chinese woman, was standing on my wife's side of the bed leaning over her looking at her. My wife was wide awake lying dead still but with eyes wide open. I sat up suddenly and asked the ghost what she wanted. The ghost stood up and sorta pivoted toward me and faded out of sight. Well of course we talked about it all night and went downstairs to ask the receptionist about such things happening there. No they hadn't before, but there had been an old woman die in that room a couple weeks ago -- Chinese. What did we make of this? My wife was relieved that it wasn't our being haunted but the room, and went on with life with a good story to tell the people back home. I have my doubts. If fits well with Western cultural ideas about ghosts, not Vietnamese notions, where ghosts are not at all pleasant. That makes me wonder, although my wife dismissed this as being because she had died so recently and therefor had not gone into the rebirth process. Most ghosts you encounter are of the "hungry ghost" type who are evil and hence have difficulty getting reborn. Memories are tricky, especially memories of in-bed events as sleep and dream and other altered consciousness states are possible. Arguing against that is the fact that we both experienced it -- but one has to remember we were both excited and talking ninety miles an hour and in the process no doubt erased any discrepancies in our experiences from our memories. Things happen -- weird things -- and we interpret them according to our beliefs and expectations. Who knows? I think since events like this are one-off and can't be studied (we stayed in the room a week longer but no more manifestations). There it is, maybe a ghost maybe something else, maybe nothing. It is best I think to leave such things alone and not worry and not draw massive conclusions.

Have there or are there any marks on or in your body following the encounter? Were you on any medications or supplements including vaccines and herbs? Was this an isolated event or has it reoccurred? Was the experience enjoyable or not? I'm not really one to believe in ghosts, as I'm a person with a scientific and critical mind, and prefer to use logic to explain things. But the more experiences I have with certain friends and family members, I'm becoming convinced that there is an invisible world we're oblivious to, or at least most people. I recently stayed at my brothers house, which is an old family farm house, of whom belongs to my sister-in-law's kin. She said it's apparently very haunted, and while I didn't believe her, I tend to keep an open mind about "paranormal" things. Not to the point of ridiculousness, but weird things do happen, and there isn't always a scientific or logical explanation. Anyways, the first time I spent the night there I slept in their porch (which is part of the house, so it has a roof over it), and was pretty uneasy the entire night. One of their dogs slept with me on the couch. As I was drifting off, I heard an irritated yet blatant sound of someone clearing their throat behind me. My back was facing away from the couch. I know this wasn't the dog, and it was clear as day, and scared the hell out of me. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night and felt like somebody was looking down on me from above. When I finally did manage to sleep I woke up around 6am and at the foot of the couch someone was sitting on it, watching me. I wasn't threatened or scared, and for a second I thought it was my mom (she used to do this when I was little), but then I realized I was in my brothers house and that was impossible. The person or thing then got up from the couch and walked away. I was half asleep so it could've been my imagination, but idk, it felt real to me. Second time was when I was at my brothers house again, except I slept in his living room this time. Between the living room and porch is a big kitchen and small entrance for the house. As I was watching TV, and everyone was in bed (which is in front of the living room, opposite direction from the porch or kitchen) I heard a cough from the porch. It didn't come from outside as there was an echo and again, it was clear as day. Needless to say whatever was there wanted me to know it. I got pretty drunk just so I could fall asleep. I found out prior to my second experience my sister-in-law's grandfather passed away in the porch/room, on the couch, and usually cleared his throat often. Freaked me out, but at the same time, I know it isn't necessarily a threat. Edited October 21, 2015 by jaksmak123
