Ghostly visitor in my bed

Now I am no stranger to unexplainable experiences, having been plagued by paranormal events no matter where I have been since I can remember. Tonight I had a particularly strange experience. I am currently a college student, in the process of becoming an elementary school teacher, with an 11 month old and also 6 months pregnant. I live alone and have no pets. I spent the evening watching tv on the couch and went downstairs for bed around 10:15. Just before getting into bed I noticed that there was a small wet spot on my pillow, as if someone had been very recently sleeping on it and had left a drool spot. After checking all rooms and dark corners to make sure the house was empty I came back downstairs and saw that the spot had faded considerably, like a normal drool spot would. Very strange indeed. Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Hi and welcome to UM :)

Thanks for posting. I would like to first point out that I have the most respect for you, going about on your own studying and raising a child. That must be hard work. I know it's off topic but I suggest you rest more rest because you're pregnant and hope you've got friends, family and support.

I don't want to suggest ghosts involved right now, but is it possible your little one could've been on your bed earlier?

Also I wonder if it might be possible you have a very small leek?

Check those out. It's unlikely that spirits leave behind dribble like that.

Best luck to your pregnancy and do come back on here and post more. Look around UM and you'll find tons of interesting stories.

I love post that begin with a lifelong plague of spooky events. As far as drool, ive never yet heard of a drooling spirit i guess it could be done. I really think maybe with work and those children to care for maybe your terribly stressed and need to make a real effort to get in more rest if possible.Welcome to UM.

Now I do believe in Ghost and paranormal Spirits but I don't think they can drool or leak bodily floods. Can they leave residue? yes but being as they are immaterial entites I don't think they can drool.

Apportations, including mysterious damp areas or rarely, water puddles, are sometimes said to be associated with some hauntings, depending on who you ask. I think it is extremely important before mentally heading that direction, to look toward all possible mundane causes first, and even then to STILL put it down to regular happenings, even if you can't come up with a plausible scenario yourself, unless such a thing continues happening but remains mysterious. I'd like to think I know a lot but I'm willing to admit there are some phenomena and scientific curiosities that happen that I'm just ignorant of, and am not qualified to guess at.

If they are immaterial, how can they leave a residue?

Drool is a residue, as is any remnants of a anything left behind anywhere.

Is it possible the OP could of had a cat nap? or even the 11 month old had a snooze on the bed and dribbled a bit?

Did you turn the light on in the bed room when you went to bed? I prefer watching tv in a darkened room, so going to bed, turning the light on can increase the appearance of marks, as you have then left the room looking for intruders or a stray cat, youve turned on more lights, helping your eyes adjust better, once you have returned to your room, the stain has appeared to reduce in contrast because the light is less intense to your eyes.

I lost my 10mm spanner at work the other day, my own fault or a ghost doing maintenance work?
