Twice in the movie kingdom of heaven I heard this said. It gave me some things to ponder. Man has been fighting over rocks for centuries. What indeed is holy land as not all land that is created by God holy. This is the problem with we as people. We need and crave the concrete. We can not give what is of this world. We will not let others believe as they will. How ludicrous is it people bow and wail to a wall. That they walk in unison a circle around a rock.See the paradox. And it goes all the way to Catholics saying they are the rock. They are telling you they are the definers of reality. Who gave them that right.

A little hint. We have technology beyond our imagination but can not use it as it would tear down they way we see things. Our religious structures hold us back.

Tear down the walls. What is the difference between the wailing wall and the Berlin wall. Rocks to keep people separate.

This technology mention has piqued my interest.

What is this technology?

I love to make mashups! Click here to hear!
I also love taking pictures! Click here to see!
I love to play drums, too! Whatever you do, don't click here!

Alternative energy. sonoluminescence, thrive, water generators of car, who killed the electric car.
The list goes on and on.

Many things would alter our present paradigm.

They talk about, and provide evidence of a water injected carburator that could make a 1946 Buick Roadmaster that could get 100-150 mpg. This is a vehicle with a weight almost that of a modern day Hummer.

John,

Nice topic and welcome to UM.

Indeed, the concept of a material 'kingdom of heaven' is one that has promoted conflict for a very long time. Much like the concept of a material 'nation', as if such a thing has any real meaning.

Mr Netanyahu could walk into Gaza and pick up a handful of soil, but that handful of soil he holds does not make him 'Palestinian'. Neither does a handful of soil from Israel make him 'Israeli'.

The true nations and kingdoms are, as your thread title suggests, 'kingdoms of consciousness'. They are places of belief encircled by the walls of 'us' and 'them' we erect in our minds.
