Still Waters Posted March 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Buzz Aldrin, the second man to set foot on the moon, has sent a "message to the Red Planet" from Stonehenge. The 85-year-old donned a T-shirt urging travel to Mars as he was snapped striking a Superman pose in front of the pre-historic monument. Jessica Trethowan, from English Heritage, said there had been several enquiries about whether the image was real. http://www.bbc.co.uk...tshire-31920141

+Noteverythingisaconspiracy Posted March 17, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 17, 2015 And Ive heard that light travels faster than sound. That's why certain people appear bright until you hear them speak Reminds me of this: "Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt" Aldrin has allways been quite a character.

Lilly Posted March 18, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 18, 2015 Buzz has always had one heck of a sense of humor...and a wicked right hook as well (just ask Bart Sibrel). BTW, here's the entire exchange where Buzz is pursued and harrassed until...Ka-Pow! I had never seen it with the audio before.
AZDZ Posted March 18, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) Hi bee, long time no chat. . Buzz obviously has more than a passing interest in Mars - So do we all. Mars Monolith - Buzz Aldrin Confirms Phobos Structure ... "Who put that there - who put that there" ......... One might ask the same question about Stonehenge - - - . Just to clarify, and hopefully keep you know who off your back, monolith doesn't necessary mean it was man, or alien made. A monolith is a geological feature consisting of a single massive stone or rock, such as some mountains, or a single large piece of rock placed as, or within, a monument or building. Erosion usually exposes the geological formations, which are often made of very hard and solid metamorphic or igneous rock. Monolith - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia IMGhttp://upload.wikime..._Ifach-2009.jpg And he answers the question 'who put that there?' with 'the universe' or 'god'. All that said, yeah, it's a fascinating object, I'd like to know what it is exactly. Guess off the top of my head, a huge metal crystal of some type, perhsps (huge img:) http://upload.wikime...yrite_60608.jpg Edited March 18, 2015 by AZDZ

Astra. Posted March 19, 2015 #20 Share Posted March 19, 2015 I think Buzz has been past the point of giving a damn what he is allowed or not allowed to do for quite some time. Sure A1, and rightly so. He has earned that choice of whether giving a damn or not at his age.I guess when it comes down to our mortality...we can make peace with ourselves, loved ones, and even the world, in our own unique and private way. But there are also some things that we may choose to take to our graves - for reasons that the individual alone - only understands. Btw, I'm speaking in general here.

Stegosaurus Posted March 19, 2015 #24 Share Posted March 19, 2015 Buzz, you are so awesome, even in your age. I agree, though, that he does know more than he lets on. Perhaps he'll release a tell-all before his time on Earth is over.
