So this is my newest video, and yes i know the audio is bad.. My editing software cut and erased some parts of it and it didn't show up until it was uploaded to YouTube. So i apologize for that.

I'm trying to figure out the issue now..

What is a Spirit Box?..

The boxes are for entertainment use only. It is nothing more than an assumption based tool that operates on pareidolia, not ghosts, spirits, demons, etc. Radio sweepers are the worst, but devices that are pre-programmed are the worst. Ghost communication? I used an Ovulus at a kid's birthday party to prove to the parent (owner of the device) that these were not what she thought.

I accidently discovered that there was such a thing as EVP back in the early 90’s when mysterious voices turned up on my tape recorder while taping a business meeting. Then I found out that every time I recorded anything, anomalous voices would be heard in those recordings. Soon after that, I found Raudive’s book in the library on the EVP phenomenon where I then contacted Sara Estep and joined her EVP organization (AAEVP)

22 years and thousands of EVP sessions later, eventually I came to the conclusion that those voices that came through are not our deceased relatives and friends as they claim to be. And in cases of hauntings, graveyards etc., they are not who they claim to be either.

What they are is this: intelligences in the noosphere or whatever one chooses to call it that can communicate to us via tape recorders that, depending on ones religious views, are demons, the djinn etc. On the other hand though, they may just be some kind of unidentified type of intelligence that is electromagnetic in nature and that’s the view that I am currently going with.

They know everything about you including your most private secrets and will not hesitate to tell you what they are. They will even pose as friends whom you didn’t even know had passed away but they are great mimickers.

Think, the Smoke Monster on that TV show “Lost” and how he was able to morph into deceased relatives and friends to the survivors of that plane crash on that island. That’s what those intelligences that communicate via EVP are like: mimickers.

They can sometimes tell you of near future events that will happen in your life too.

And interesting enough, newbies to EVP do well to be in contact with a long time EVP recorder to start recording EVP sooner than if one just goes at it alone. The more successful their mentor is in recording EVP, the mentor’s “controllers” will then link to the student’s potential “controllers” to help get things up and running for them. Just like in the field of magick, witchcraft, esoteric-based martial arts etc, there’s the teacher and there’s the apprentice.

If you have a good teacher/mentor with a strong “controller”, one does not even need any kind of white noise to record clear EVP.

But having said this, there is something called the transform phenomena where those intelligence's will use whatever noise that is there to form their words. Those so-called ghost boxes operate on that phenomenon and if it works for you, all the power to you.

If you are getting information from those voices that you didn’t know before… like what’s coming up in the near future where indeed the information turns out to be correct, if you used a ghostbox to get that information then who’s to tell you that that’s cheating and not “real EVP?” . lol

I usually don’t use any white noise nor have I ever tried out or owned a ghostbox. Don’t need to but this is not to say that I will not hesitate to use some kind of background noise when they are coming in weaker than normal.

One other thing, eventually you will start hearing those same voices communicating to you without tape recorders or any other gizmo or gadget that records audio’s too; like webcams for example.

Presently I get those voices coming in real time on my computer via my speakers.

A ghost box is a parcel that you are still awaiting but declared as already delivered to you as per DHL tracking.

That's interesting! Thanks for mentioning that.

Also, I don't claim to know anything more about EVP than any other long time EVP recorder.

I of course do believe in the afterlife and afterlife communications but those voices coming via EVP are not who and what they claim to be. I am absolutely certain of that.

Would love to hear some of those recordings actually if you don't mind, haha.. ;)

Also, i did state in an earlier video detailing EVPs, that we currently are unsure what exactly is being heard through the devices.

Though it is interesting to hear this..i didnt think of that option.

Very nice thread and video.

Also, that ghetto talk box was amazing!

I am into researching (and eventually making my own) ghost boxes, so whenever I see a home-made ghost box work, my whole attention is fixed on that for ages.

This is going to be a very long and wild ride, so I ask you all to strap yourselves in and have patience...

First off, I just posted this in another thread in reply to a member who had questions about ghost boxes, and it was just too good to leave it there, so here we go:

ITC (Instrumental Trans Communication) techniques started way back in the 1950's and 1960's with EVPs left on the old reel to reel tape machines...actually, it started a long time before that with Nicholas Tesla and the Tesla Spirit Radio (the very first 'Spirit Box'):

http://aetherforce.c...LHEW.MEDIUM.jpg

You ask about Marconi, but Marconi didn't experiment with this. Nicholas Tesla, Thomas Edison and later, Konstantin Raudive did...you could call it 'different schools of electromagnetic thought'.

Here's Edison's Steampunk Spirit Device:

https://img0.etsysta...N.333411534.jpg

The development of the Spirit Box was just a natural progression from the early Spiricom sessions and also from the discovery that a germanium crystal diode combined with a heterodyning tone could give very unusual and unexplained results over the RF frequency modulations.

If there were no Spirit Boxes, We'd still be using all the old methods that have been around for like 60-70 years, but most notably, we'd probably all just be using the good-old digital recorder (a LOT of paranormal investigators prefer using the digital recorder over the Spirit Box anyway for 'purity of result').

If there were no 'Spirit Boxes', it wouldn't have taken somebody very long to find out that if you kept scanning through an RF receiver on a very fast rate and recorded the whole scan...maybe slowing it down and cleaning it up with a program like Audacity, certain things would be heard that went 'over and above' the background radio noise.

Up until the development of the Spirit Box, I guess nobody even thought about doing that until Frank Sumpton did....and it's funny that whenever there's a good invention created, the very first question that gets asked is; 'why didn't anybody ever think of doing that before?"

All things must have a 'starting point' that's fixed in time.

By the way...spirits DO communicate via radio scanners and not just through a marketed Spirit Box with an inbuilt 'sound bank' (as far as I know, the P-SB7 does NOT have a 'bank of words and sounds' in its memory)...actually, I have found they communicate much better through a hacked Radio Shack scanner (Shack Hack) or even through an old Sony Walkman with the sweep button held down by a small clamp....heck, I have even had spirits come through my old clock radio with a manual tuning dial.

The trick is, you just need to record it and slow it down by about 70-75%, then learn how to listen out for any anomalous sounds that occur in between the location of any major or minor radio stations in the area.

Why do we need modern technology to communicate? we don't. Mediums have been doing it for years, but Spirit Boxes give some form of 'tangibility' to the 'intangible'.

Also, the argument can be made that the spirits were always communicating with us, but we lacked the equipment to 'listen in' so to speak.

The development of ITC is still in its infancy and has a long way to go, but we have cracked it open now and getting good results.

With the improvement of these tools and techniques, we hope to get more clear, audible replies.

Thanks for your questions and I hope I've answered them to your satisfaction.

That was the first part....

I own a PSB-7 ghost box and I have used in the past a Sangean, Ovilus (that NEVER worked for me) and a Radio Shack Hack.

I'd love to get an Andy's Box from Chicago Spiritwave when I can afford it,,,

Look here, there's a place that makes custom Ghost Boxes just like Frank Sumpton did...

Andy is a genius...

http://chicagospiritwave.com/

Anyway, that wasn't an advertisement really, I was illustrating the fact there's a place that builds these things from scratch and a ghost box can come in all shapes and sizes.

The generic ones on the market today are the PSB-7 (old and outdated now), PSB-11 (new version of it) and Sangean.

So, the member asked me; 'what's the difference between a radio scanner and a 'ghost box'? why does adding the word ghost/spirit in front of it make it nothing more than a glorified RF scanner?

...but wait, I'll tell you...

Radio Shack radio without the 'mute' switch removed = radio scanner

Radio Shack radio with the 'mute' switch removed = ghost/spirit box

A ghost box is called the 'broken radio' because it won't stop scanning unless you make it stop.

A radio scanner stops the moment it locks on a station.

Spirits can communicate through both.

Anyway, I own a PSB-7 and I have done all the research and I know how it works, inside and out! I have also had many sessions where I have asked the spirits how they use the ghost box to talk to me.

It's very complicated to understand the ins and outs of how they do it, but it is very easy for them to do it, being that radio waves are a form of electromagnetic energy...and so are ghosts...it's akin to them playing the theremin.

I have 4-6 'regular' spirits who use my PSB-7.

"William" (the main spirit who imprinted himself upon my spirit box as soon as I started using it).

"Michael"

"Adriana"

"Donald" and

"Julie"

Each of these spirits has their own vocal characteristics I can immediately identify.

Each of these spirits has their own unique personality and temperament.

Each will speak at any place at all on the sweep (FM in REVERSE at 200mgs) and

Each will speak at any time of the night/day I decide to do a session.

I have also found that not only are they talking to me, answering my questions and fully identifying held objects, but they also talk to each other.

I can hear and understand what they are saying as clear as a bell...often 2-3 full sentences every sweep.

There's a huge problem with it though....I am the only one who can hear them (so far anyway).

This makes me the hecka paranoid because I know it isn't apophenia and I know I am not imagining it either.

I sleep better at night thinking; "yeah...they all heard it...they just don't want to support this and encourage me by saying they did..." or "yeah...they heard it...they just don't believe they did and so their brains can't accept it and filtered it out"

"Nah, I don't have apophenia, you just have selective deafness". lol

Yeah, that gets me through the nights now.

Anyway, that's a huge wall of text there and I'll type more on and about these boxes later.

Cheers and thanks for reading.

Let's go " simple / stupid ".

There would be no reason at all, if any of this had any fact to it, why someone could not set a microphone, and amp ( just like a singer uses, or even a karaoke machine with no music ) and let the ghosts say what they want.

Would be a hell of a lot easier than making them try to make words come out of jumbled static.

You really don't need a microphone or amp either. You can just use the Raudive Diode Receiver and plug it straight into the mic jack of your digital recorder:

http://www.ukghostst...diode-receiver/

I'll bring it down low-tech though..and keep it simple:

I have picked up a few clear EVPs just using my laptop mic (of course one needs to account for the internal workings of a computer to do this).

It was 3am and very quiet, so I turned on my PC, opened up the sound recording device and asked 'William' if he could please come through and say his name....I left it run for 8 minutes after that and between the 5 and 6 minute mark on playback, I distinctly heard the name "William" twice. I didn't even need to clean it up with Audacity...Class A all the way.

With standard microphone EVPs, the problem is, for some reason, the spirits can only say a few words at a time and it takes about another 3-5 minutes before they are able to say just a few more words at a time.

It's a very lengthy process with 'ages between drinks' so to speak.

With the Spirit Box, the conversation is more full and more fluent than standard EVP and this is why I personally prefer using a Spirit Box over a digital recorder or stand-alone microphone(s).

There's also a misconception that the spirits 'make words out of jumbled static'. They use the modulations created by the superheterodynes within the box itself to 'imprint' their voices within the RF frequencies...essentially using the radio waves as EM carrier waves.

Yeah, so that's how they do it...and how do I know this?

Because they told me.

So, with a clear, no background noise, nothing to interupt ( microphone in computer ) a " ghost " can only say a few words at a time?

Yet, with loud, obnoxious, interfering sound blaring away, a ghost can have a full conversation?

Nah, it is called Paradelia.

I had posted somewhere on these forums a detailed topic on how radio waves travel, with charts and diagrams..

I would still like to know why a " ghost " could not just talk into a mic. attached to a amp. Maybe even in a recording studio......

Why do you need a ton of background noise, and radio stations scanning through? ( I know the answer, but want to hear others opinions )

They use the modulations created by the superheterodynes within the box

Huh?

" Superheterodynes " are not a physical thing. It is a word describing a method......

Superheterodyne definition :

Superheterodyne refers to a method of designing and building wireless communications or broadcast equipment, particularly radio receivers.

Sorry, making things up does not work for me.

I'll let you believe it is paradelia. ;)

I explained the ghost's need for a heterodyning tone (not necessarily a ton of background noise) to use as an RF/EM 'booster', but I will bow out now and let others reply. I've said enough...MORE than enough. lol

Oh, did I forget to add the word 'receiver'? I usually just shorten it to 'superhet' anyway...

I believe this is what you are looking for:

In electronics, a superheterodyne receiver (often shortened to superhet) uses frequency mixing to convert a received signal to a fixed intermediate frequency (IF) which can be more conveniently processed than the original radio carrier frequency.

https://en.wikipedia...rodyne_receiver

The spirits intervene at the exact point where the RF frequency gets converted and modulated into to the IF frequency range.

.....but I'll let you guys figure that out...

It's Sydney, Australia....it's 1:37am....and I'm bushed.
