Logically I find Sagans remark to be rather accurate. However for those that have read Arthur C. Clarkes 2001 series of books I also find the theories on the aliens that built the monoliths fairly close as well. If there is life there and if it is doing any maipulation or observation of our own civilization then it is being done from afar and not buy the little grey things everyone claims to see.
