Didn't see a thread yet, so figured I would start one. Looks like Kentucky is going to be tough to beat this year. Good to see the Big 12 have so many teams ranked and a couple of others sitting just outside the top 25.

Go Cyclones!!

Thanks for the thread Ophion. :st

I have been a Syracuse, Notre Dame and an old Big East Conference fan forever. The Orange are having an off year by their standards and the Fighting Irish a very good one so far. Conference play is starting so we will get to see who the pretenders and the contenders are. Kentucky has the most talented team no doubt, their bench could probably make it to the Elite 8. What makes it interesting is that any team can have an off night or an injury could sideline a key player and it's one and done in March Madness. My early picks for the Elite 8 are:

Villanova

Kentucky

West Virginia

Louisville

Wisconsin

Arizona

Penn State

Northern Iowa is my Cinderella pick

Iowa State pulled off a nice road win against WVU tonight. Kentucky has been surviving close ones in OT lately. Pretty surprised by that.

I agree with you on Northern Iowa. They are really tough. Got a good laugh when they beat Iowa.

#11 Iowa State falls to #22 Baylor on the road tonight. BOO!!! They were down 17 but fought back and missed a game winning shot at the end. Kansas up next, Saturday on ESPN. Go Cyclones!

I certainly hope so. I remember that at Alabama around this time of year you'd hear a lot of "Anybody but Kentucky!!" Still feel that way today.

I'm a big UK fan. Kentucky is certainly beatable. I doubt we win it all. Too much history against us. I am hoping for the best but preparing to be let down.

Last weekend slate of games were excellent. Even the Zags/Duke game was close til the end. Pulled for ND over Kentucky while trying not to puke (sorry Brooklyn Guy).

Hoping for an all B1G final, with Wisky winning it all. But if I have to I will pull for Duke over Kentucky. ANYONE BUT KENTUCKY!!

Basketball makes for strange bedfellows! :w00t:
