Like my daughter had said  Mom I tired of being in the middle class working by ass off everyday to get a head for my family,paying half my check to day care, struggling to buy a house and putting food on the table.  And now the government want to raise my taxs to pay more, and tax the more wealthy business, so I may end up loseing my Job anyway.Might as well join the Obama crowd and pop out a few more kids to get all the free support, housing ,food , day care, and then take a trip to the bahamas:)

I really think people on welfare and foodstamps need to be drug tested. No disgrace to anyone who of course does not do drugs and tries to find a job, then by all means please go for it. But you know their are many of able-bodied people out there that are to lazy to work and depened on the government. Hence, Obama's reelection. I bet you if he said ok, we need to start drug tested those in-need of welfare, he'd have lost so many populor votes.

Fortunately the war on drugs is coming to an end so your thoughts seem regressive. Drugs should primarily be a health care issue.

Keep the hope up your desire could still come to pass but it really seems as if your notion belongs in the 20th century and not our current one.

Really?   In a Socialist Society that is true.  But that's not what America is/was.  The days of The United States of America are over.  As the drudgereport.com headline says:  The Divided States of America.  A Kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.  And so what will take it's place?  The USof A  will now become the USSA.  The United Socialist States of America.   What really blows my mind is that so many people are just lost to what that really means.  

It means...kiss the Constituion of the US goodbye.  When the Government puts it's boot on your throat...don't come crying to me...I won't care.  I don't care.   I'm only looking out for me now...me and my family...screw the rest of the 'union'.   Ya'll wanted it...you got it...hope you have a stash of food somewhere.

As I understand it, but who does?

There is no perfect health care system anywhere in the world.
Countries (like England) that offer free health care for everyone are beginning to or already are struggling under that financial burden.
Countries (like the United States) that have people who are not insured, burden the populace who are insured and must soak up their health care costs.

ObamaCare would fall in between the two.

Thus, my neighbor who doesn’t have insurance would be required to buy private insurance like we have (through his employer, etc) or use a government subsidized insurance plan.
This way, when his kid is sick he doesn’t go to the highly expensive Emergency Room at his local hospital, for a cold or worse because he hasn’t seen a doctor, where he is possibly given unnecessary tests and run up a bill we (who have insurance) have to absorb. Instead, he will be accepted by a primary care physician, treated early (probably not given any tests) at far less costs, which he and his insurance pay for.  

We shall see.

Health insurance is out of sight. My husband has a very good job and it is hard on us to afford it. Maybe minorities, and  the younger generations who voted for him see a U.S. they cannot afford to live in and think any government intervention is worth the cost to society.

But hopefully ObamaCare isn't as some think and will only lower costs for those who have private insurance and  not become socialist medicine.

What?  The war on drugs isn't coming to an end.  The notion of Freedom and Good Jobs and affordable gas....that's just so 20th century...right...you're right...this is the century of Global Domination.  And guess who is going to be Dominated?  EVERYONE!

It was on the ballot yesterday where I live.

"Prevents penalties for not purchasing health care coverage in order to comply with federal health care reforms." You're correct, not an opt out, but at least we won't be penalized more.

What's really scary is that proposition 37 didn't pass in California. Companies basically now have the power to NOT label GMO containing food. Good job California, it literally has become idiocracy here.

It means we pick ourselves up by the boot straps and get our butts busy.

Something that amazed me through this process was the short term memory loss of people.  When the economy tanked in late 07, the real experts...not the wanna be politicians...said it was going to take anywhere from 8 to 12 years to recover.  I was continuously awed by the stupidity of people that thinking one man was going to fix the mess...and in 4 years or less.  Monumentally ridiculous...to anyone that thought that...never-never land is just around the corner.

It also means that it's time to realize that outdated moral positions and intervention into people's private lives are not appreciated.  The Repubs need to take a page from Ron Paul and Gary Johnson and focus on what they are good at...fiscal responsibility... and leave the moral and social issues out of it.

If a woman wants an abortion, that is no business of yours or mine or the Gov.  It is between her, her family, her doctor and whatever God she prays to...period.

If a person wants to destroy their life with drugs and alcohol...fine...let them.

It is no one's business what two consenting adults do.  If same sex couples want to get married, let them...I do not care...you can marry your mailbox for all I care...it will not affect my life in one way or another.

Let people be free, let them prosper and let them be happy...that is what we should have learned.

Haha you wish your country is so deep in debt that its too late to actualy do something about it. Year ago when the topic came up it was supressed so hard..and postponed...ignorance is a bliss, untill it will turn into a nightmare. But hey why not supress the critical point in economy one more time... untill China gets angry/impatienced and wants its money back...
