Can Anyone Tell Me About ICHS ?

I was browsing online courses today and came across this "school." I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I didn't know where else to post this question so I thought if an admin could move it to its proper place, that would be great.

The school seems to cover all kinds of interesting courses ... Psychic development, Ufology, Paranormal Investigator, the works.

But when I searched to see if it was a legitimate school, I found nothing about it at all. No reviews no nothing.

Odds are, that if there is no 'background' on a school... It HAS no background... Be very careful with your money...

For clarification I would at first get in contact with this institution : http://www.ed.gov/ and I`m sure they can answer yr question.

And as for this dubious ICHS "school" I would like to say that I even would not buy a pair of socks at a web shop that does not

have full company details like fully detailed address informations, owner/s and tax number/s, etc. displayed on the first view but

all these informations are mossing here.

From the HP about the nature/quality of the "academic certifications" granted:

It is important for prospective students to understand that academic certifications and non-academic certifications are different in

nature and, therefore, cannot be viewed in the same way regarding accreditation. Since our certifications are religious and

non-secular or non-academic in nature, they are not accredited by academic or governmental accrediting agencies and

cannot be transferred to traditional academic colleges or universities. Actually, there are no federally recognized accrediting

agencies for metaphysical schools. Therefore, metaphysics-related schools (including alternative health schools) must use third-party

accrediting agencies for accreditation. These non-federal agencies are free to establish their own accrediting criteria and have varying

standards of quality.

Church? Uhh, smells like ........

Recapitulatory, if you want to invest yr hard earned money into yr personal education you should avoid to hand over yr money to this

institution.

Toast did a good job covering this but let me add the following:

The ICHS is accredited by the International Metaphysical Practitioners Association (IMPA). The IMPA is also run by the International Church of Metaphysical Humanism so they are essentially accrediting themselves. The IMPA is based out of Australia (if their website registrar is an indication) so won't have a valid accreditation in the United States and thus their certificates will be worthless in the U.S.

The websites are less than a year old. The Reverend and his partner are the only listed staff and there is nothing to indicate their educational background (where they got degrees from) to not only teach but to teach what the place offers.

Since they are charging $1,600 per semester I would avoid them like the plague.

Its a great thought, but they whole googleing it and finding nothing really through me off. Some one rescently asked me is I had a degree or accrediation of some sort t as a tarot card reader, and I was curious if there was such a thing. Honestly, I thought if there was/is , no one is gonna take it seriously. lol Thanks guys, for your input!
