Still Waters Posted January 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2014 A woman who developed a fear of newspapers after watching her mother hit her father over the head with one has told how her unusual phobia affects her life every day. Diane Freelove, 49, cannot bear the smell of newspapers, hates to touch them, and cannot even look at them. http://www.dailymail...ews-online.html

Calibeliever Posted January 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2014 ‘I became afraid of newspapers gradually over the past 25 years.’ She's 49. ‘When I was a child, my mother hit my father over the head with a newspaper. She did it in a playful, friendly way but it worried me,’ she said. So, assuming by child she means 7 or 8, there are 16-17 years where she wasn't afraid of newspapers. There's a chunk of mising time here. Aliens?

Having to go up into the loft of my house is a nightmare for me!

order and chaos Posted January 28, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 28, 2014 I dont read or watch the news. It depresses me. So I dont have to worry about it if I have that. I have a mild fear of wedding rings. Mom and . Dad divorceed and remarried with both those also going down in flames. So I dont like the little metal bands that start it .
