Thank you Obama.

Thanks to Bush and Clinton too. Both parties are one and the same. Like a two headed snake fed by the same body.

Not as measured by my wallet!

I was doing very nicely for the last 7 years/9 months.

I did well the prior 8 years too (no thanks to Clinton, not because of him).

But in the last 3 months - from the election thru the inaugeration today - I have never hurt so much in all my adult life!!

And there's only one man in government who can be pointed at for that and his initials are B.H.O.

Directing your anger at one political party only exercises the false left-right wing paradigm.

The root of your economic problem is the un-Federal Reserve corporation.

Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc... refuse to comment on the complete failure of the largest monetary criminal system on the planet.

Everytime this Bozo opens his mouth, or one his minions opens their mouth, the market drops!!

Everytime the Democrats force through yet another bailout or other plan the market drops!!

Everytime these idiots call to raise taxes there goes even more!

Where's my 'hope'??!!

What's your solution?

It doesn't matter who is lying, be it democrat or republican, they are both lying to you.

What's your solution?

For starters, stop spending phantom money like a drunk sailor!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If a company can't survive - too frigg'in bad!! Someone will buy the building, the equipment, the contracts etc. It won't go to waste.

Then stop promising to raise taxes on the people who actually make jobs for others!!

And for G-d's sake!! Stop talking down the future!!!

He's supposed to be the man full of 'hope' - act like it!!!!!

ps- What the heck does it matter about my solution? He's the President. He was elected because it was said that he had the answers!! Act like the leader he now is ('cause Lord knows he was no leader before!) and not like the sophomoric first-time manager.

Yeah I loved it when bush lied to me and said everything was going great. It wasnt true, nor is what the current numbskull saying true. Sending cheerleaders out into the middle of congress to do flips and cheers is not going to help the guy who is in the midst of bankruptcy.

Perhaps this is a good thing for you po...a bit of character development. You have been going along for so long doing so well, having nothing but contempt for those lower than you on the economic scale...

All while the last 8 years a lot of people have felt a lot of pain, you have ignored it. Blamed it on themselves for being in a position to lose money. To be broke. That Karma that I used to tell you about? maybe that is effecting you quicker than ever so that you can be humbled just a bit. Knock you down a notch. Make you feel the economic fear the rest of the country has felt for years, that you have ignored.

This will be good for you. Character building. Perhaps you will learn to commiserate with those that lost their fortunes under bush? Wont that be great for you? Perhaps then you can see that people being in financial positions they dont want to be in, are not always 100% their own fault? that bad things happen to good people? I doubt it, but it will be interesting to watch.

Obviously no one in government has the answers and I would really love to know myself. Otherwise, all I'm hearing are platitudes and I'm sure there's more to this problem than such simple answers can solve; If someone really has the solution, why not speak up for the future of America and our children?

The Obama plan is a complete disaster. We are now either allready in or near a Depression. The problem is that his stimulus is not stimulating. If it does turn on business it will be a long time from now. That is obvious by the nature of it. He is growing government. That is NOT the answer and the stock market knows it. Practically every person I know, republican or democrat does not think the plan will work.

You asked whats your solution. Well, as many economists suggested, the government should have cut payroll taxes for everybody NOW. That would put 25-35% more cash on peoples checks right NOW. In addition, they should have cut taxes on business to near nothing, That would have caused hiring NOW. Then they could have gone and taken the time nessesary to write a proper stimulus bill to bolster the tax cuts. They could have had time to actually read the bill and they could have let their counterparts in the other party at least make suggestions... but what did they do? They said the republicans "dont have any good ideas" and "thats been tried" both extreme lies. Then they rush to vote on the bill before reading it, and the president promptly leaves town for 3 days. Oh it was urgent all right. Then as the trruth to what is in the "stimulus" trickles out we find that nothing is going to be stimulated for some time and that it is a massive government spending bill for nothing but pet projects.

Both partys are greedy and sneaky. The big LIE is that Obama represents the Democratic position. Most dems I know are capitalists, not socialists. The problem is that their representation is socialist. Too bad they depended on the Daily show for their info eh? A little too late for oops isnt it. The party of tolerance and social justice is neither. It turns out that Obama was really radical , just like his pastor and others he associated with... I guess maybe that should have been looked at more seriously by the people who were ready to vote for CHANGE. What a joke. A rip off of biblical proportions. Ironically, now the chickens are actually coming home to roost. Now we are stuck with this guy who wants to "remake America as it should be" and with the bill just signed he will abolish the Clinton welfare reform thereby bringing back the thing his party says they are aginst, enslavement of our lowest economic groups - but through benefits programs it locks up a lot of democratic votes no matter how wrong it is. Then look at him trying to take controil of the census under the guise that blacks hide from Census takers because they are afraid of them??? so he says we need to estimate the number rather than count... when they are done estimating there will be allot of money thrown into intercity political machines like the oh so honest one that spawned this poilitician. ... now we are truly screwed.

The word revolution is coming up daily now around here and Im starting to wonder if we are going to disolve over this.

Rant = off

peace,

Gustavo

So.... a man that has been President for only 5 weeks now has to face people like you who are too ignorant to understand that this crisis did not happen because of his tenure. All of the seeds were sown years ago, so go blame the real perpetrators of this - not the person left to try and clean up the mess.

The corrupt banking practises, the knee-jerk jingoism, the "stepping on the little guys", all belong to YOUR vision of the world.... but guess what, I dont think the "little guys" will fall for it much longer and then you and your kind will find it REALLY tough.

Who will buy defunct buildings and enterprises when there is no-one buying these products? Your grasp of Economics is naïve and childish.

"Talking down the future"? You have done a really good job of that - to your way of thinking there IS no future with Obama as President and you have been shouting that message loud and clear for everyone to hear. IT IS YOU SHOUTING DOWN THE FUTURE. So grow up, learn some economics, and put the blame at its source - because it sure as heck hasnt got anything to do with anyone elected for a scant 5 weeks.

When will all these bar room economist get the fact that presidents have little to no influence on the notation of securities?

Notation depends on the fact if the money IS secure and it gains additional money. If it is neither it will either will make securities become worthless or a sucker trap. The latter is true for about 1/2 of DOW notated shares.

Why do libs/dems always talk down the influence of the President when their guy is in office but hold Republican Presidents to Barabie-like impossible standards?

You don't think the 3+ trillion in un-funded spending the Messiah has enacted has no impact on things? You don't think his promise to tax the hell out of anyone with a business or well-earned income doesn't throw cold water on people's outcomes?

Maybe in the hallowed halls of a university or government building it has no effect. But out here in the real world it's a kill!

I just love how the economic news comes out on a daily basis; quarterly reports come out today about things that happened before obama got in office; the news is bad..i.e. AIG is worse off than originally though, AIG is a worldwide company that if they fail it would effect WORLD economies, not just the US, so that news, along with the other bad news that came from the previous quarter(back when bush still ran things) and the market reacts by selling and going nuts.

A whole lot of bad decisions got us here; not just one guy in 5 weeks time. It makes me laugh to see people knee jerk reaction like the news of the market isnt going to effect to effect what the market does, that somehow obama controls 100% of it...but that didnt apply to bush in the same way...I love it. Talk about the "hated red headed step child" geez.

It is just silly.

If the quarterly reports that came out today(Or in the past months for that matter) had been super positive(Showing profits), then the market would have responded positively...it just works that way. One man does not have that much power.

Where the bottom of this is...I dont know. People are scared and that means that people are going to do things they normally wouldnt do, which means it will be difficult to predict what will happen. Just as in 1929, 30, 31, things bottomed out and it was bad for some time, but it did turn around and pick up. I personally dont think that spending hundreds of billions of dollars is the way to go, but I am not an economist either, nor is anyone else around here, so we are all just guessing. it could be the right things to do, could be the worst mistake in the world. I dont think the republicans had any good ideas either...

I think that 100% of our leaders are guessing.

I think that there is a way to make things better, but it would take a lot of sacrifice and dedication from everyone, and I dont think people want to change.

Perhaps in reality you would look at the economic news and quarterly reports being presented that the market is reacting to. When the biggest banks in the world are saying they are failing, it makes people nervous. That effects what investors do. A hell of a lot more than what bush says or the new idiot.

Just as Dubya could not help but seeing the economy crash Obama can't do anything else...only the latter told us so, instead of :" No recession...the economy is hovering.... all is well... Wall ... Street got drunk...."

Putting government money in the economy has nothing to do with stabilizing the DOW (they could do that cheaper by just buying shares), but try to kick start the economy. That will fail, but it is the only thing governments can do to not wind up with all securities being worthless.

Times like these always have one group of looses: Those who have money.

And two groups of winners: Those who have debts or grow their own food.

So sorry you are in the first group.
