Every year, an estimated 400,000 to as high as 450,000 pregnant illegal alien women cross America’s borders. Some arrive legally with visas. They rush to the nearest hospital where they birth their ‘jackpot baby’ or more popularly known as an ‘anchor baby’.Once inside the hospital or ER, they receive unlimited ‘free’ care via U.S. taxpayers.

Their child, through a misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution meant for children of slaves in the 1800s, becomes an instant citizen.

The article conclude with this sobering statement:

the U.S. adds 138,000 legal immigrants every 30 days. All of them add to the EMTALA costs to U.S. taxpayers
.

What could be done to reduce the costs of such health expenditures? If medical costs keep soaring for American citizens, will a point be reached wher this becomes unsustainable?

Revoke the 14th amendment and revise it for citizens and legal immigrants only. It was designed for the end of slavery and well all the slaves that wanted to have children have had them a long time ago and all the current amendment does is encourage these leeches to swarm here to rob the tax payers.

If they aren't citizens or otherwise here legally then send them back. If the boarder cannot be controlled then deploy the Guard.

Easier said than done, methinks. How will it be possible to locate and handle some 10,000,000-plus aliens that are estimated to be in the States now?

OK , I admit to being confused now.... is this post about women coming to the USA to have babies or the complete number of illegals that enter the country? The figures dont add up with the OP, so using that argument just to make a general "illegal immigration" point is specious.

"Some" arrive with visas? That makes them legal immigrants, the others arrive without visas but are allowed in anyway? This whole argument rests on poorly researched facts, emotive terminology, and smokescreens... not convinced of any of these arguments. Could do better

Interesting thought, that. ...

Maybe someone who is a whiz about stat gathering could clear this up, but looking at the following statement in the article, ...

Every year, an estimated 400,000 to as high as 450,000 pregnant illegal alien women cross America’s borders. Some arrive legally with visas
.

we "possibly ???" have two different figures:

*an estimated 400,000 to as high as 450,000 pregnant illegal alien women

and

*Some [more ???] arrive legally with visas.

Just a thought,

Karlis
