Wandie42 Posted December 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2014 Sometimes in the middle of the night I'll wake up suddenly and I'll think that I'm in the church that I go to. Whenever I wake up and this happens, it's always the same place. I wake up suddenly, wide awake, and I think that I'm in the church, (thinking I fell asleep while there) looking around for people but I can't see because all the lights are out. Does anyone know what this could mean? It doesn't happen often. A few months ago it happened for the first time and it would happen every night. Last night was the first time since then that it happened.
ellapenella Posted December 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2014 You must be in deep sleep when that happens . Is it slow wave state that causes your conscious a delayed reaction ? I might be saying this all wrong???
Karasu Posted December 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) This happens to me as well. Usually, I'm in a state of deep sleep. Edited December 3, 2014 by Karasu
Wandie42 Posted December 4, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted December 4, 2014 So I could just be waking up in a deep sleep? I wonder why I'm waking up if in a deep sleep then, and why I always think I'm in the same place as when it happens other times. I don't remember having any dreams.
