Artist changes the face of coins

A craftsman has changed the face of these out-of-circulation coins by cutting them up into intricate pieces of artwork.

They have been cut to look like animals mythical characters, Banksy-style designs and delicately-cut trees.

Adrian Thornhill, 42, of Hertfordshire, turns the pennies into pounds by hand-cutting the coins into the shapes that customers suggest - then sells them on for up to £90.
