Bad Luck?

I want to talk about this because it is really starting to weird me out, and I need some opinions.

These "mishapes" won't be in order because my brain isn't working, I'm depressed.

Well just before the Sept. 11 incedent, a man in my town commited suicide, then Sept. 11 happened. After that a girl named Candy, lost her leg by a drunk driver and her boyfriend rolled the vehicle while going to the hospital.

Then a woman was killed by a boy failing to stop at a stop sign. (that was a real bummer because she had three children :'() Then my aunt was told she had cancer.  Just a few weeks ago she died.

Just this week there was a fatal accident, involving a parapelgic, Micheal. He died, his friend's neck was broke, but he isn't paralysed. Then yesterday or today there was a sucide, and when a cop was going to the call, he ended up in an accident, the old man involved was burned but still living.

I know who all the people involved were, I'm just not typing any names.  I really am afraid to do anything.  :s4

              Becca_gurl,

Sometimes when bad things happen to someone we care about (or even ourselves),  we are at a low point in our lives - both physically and mentally drained.  When it happens to me,  I feel like I've been beaten up.  And you need time to heal and get strong enough to take what happens next.  You have had so much happen in your life in such a short period of time,  that you haven't had the chance to heal.  You have to give yourself time to grieve,  but if you don't start to feel better after awhile,  you should find someone to talk to,  who can help you. (I mean,  besides us).  Hope this helps.  Take care.

I get over stuff quite quickly.  I don't know how, but I do.  Just that it seems for three years, in my community (pop. 150) there is nothing that happens, then for one whole straight year, everything imaginable happens.  :s01

It could just be the 'law of averages' evening everything out.

I shouldn't think so. But if you have worries take Nora's advice seriously.

Becca...sorry to hear all your news.......try not to stress, life just works that way sometimes......if it helps, probably won't ....but on a lighter note, I found these little pearls of wisdom regarding luck on some looney site:

Did you know it's bad luck to...

-Spit in the air while looking up.

-Run through a parking lot with your eyes closed.

-Climb on your roof when your pain pill is kicking in.

-Point a gun at a security guard.

-Drive your car on the wrong side of the road.

-Discipline a gang of kids wearing matching bandanas.

-Talk about a bomb when walking to your plane terminal.

-Take a laxative before leaving on a road trip.

-Stick your finger in a fan while it's on.

-Breastfeed the neighbors cat.

-Touch an electrical outlet when standing in water.

But it's good luck to...

-Lift the toilet lid before you relieve yourself.

-Not stop for a hitch-hiker with green teeth, tattoos, and a gun.

-Take your medicine once a day instead of all at once.

-Use a parachute when jumping from a plane.

-Pay for the merchandise before leaving the store.

-Not wear your red dress to a bar if your name is Pete.

-Feed a hungry pitbull before reaching into his cage.

I think the best thing you can do right now Becca, besides Nora's helpful words is to maybe try to count or pay attention to only the good things that happen around you. Avoid noticing the bad and concentrate more on the good. This usually works for me.

Rebecca

Does the fact that you are asking unknown people (this forum) mean that you haven't spoken to your parents about your fears and feelings or, is it because you have spoken to them?

I support (100%) Nora's advice to you.

Take care and stay positive. :st

Statisticaly speaking-the more strange things happen around you, the less likely they are to happen to you!

BTW Petes colour is DEFINITELY beige!  :s9
