A student from Delaware has spent two years building a virtual world he has named Titan City in the video game Minecraft.

Titan City is constructed out of 4.5 million Minecraft building blocks and contains 96 buildings.

Duncan Parcells says it has taken him two years to build, averaging up to five hours a week on the project.

"I've always liked architecture. I'm most proud of the less modern builds, the more art deco, Victorian-style builds.

hmm, this is a touch different from real architecture, its an obsession with building lots of façades, but good on him if it keeps him out of trouble.

Minecraft can be addictive. Some weeks ago I bought it as it was on special offer at the electronic shop. So

I started at a Saturday at 11am and I was not able to stop untill Sunday 7am. After 3 of such sessions, I cracked

the CD and wasted it, that was my only chance to stop with it. But yeah, the game is fascinating.

You should of carried on, think of what you could have had in 2 years time, your name in the paper, a straight jacket for christmas, a big city made of virtual bricks......the fun is endless.

The headline might as well be: "Student from Delaware Plays Minecraft".

While cool, in the game of Minecraft this isn't all that impressive.

Indeed, that guy must have had way too much time on his hands. There are some really impressive time-lapse style videos of some amazing builds.

For me (I love Minecraft) the most impressive feats are those that are born entirely from someones imagination. Any old sap can build a modern style apartment block I expect once he had started with the PC version, the building options that were spoken of were things like the 'World Edit' and/or 'Voxel Sniper' addon that allows the player to build entire walls instead of placing individual blocks by using commands.
