PamTJesseer Posted May 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2014 Hello all, long time lurker first time poster. I have a question and I know one of you lovely people would be able to answer it for me. I've been looking on youtube at the many crop cirlce videos posted from last year, this one is a favourite of mine but notice the strange shadow at 1:11 What does everyone think the dark object is at 1:11? It doesn't look like a shadow from the drone used for filming - you can see this in other clips as a Y shaped shadow, it also doesn't match the shadows of the people within the circle. Welcome. It is the shadow of the drone. Look at the shadows of the persons and you will know where the sun is. I do not see any Y-shape but if you see this its resuted by the drones design. The fact that this is in Wiltshire is of interest...the connection with the crop circle may be a co-incidence or not, as the case may be. What I mean is....that the crop formations encourage videos of the landscape...and so most videos of the landscape have crop formations in them...but if the landscape was just filmed or photographed willy nilly then we might get loads more anomalies... That's just a point I'm making, though because there does seem to be three things that go together (sometimes) that is... crop formation - military helicopter - anomalies a friend of mine got an amazing shot, when visiting a crop circle, and photographing a helicopter lurking around ... looking at photo after there was this dark blob...it looked as if the helicopter was leaning it's nose into the direction of the blob...and the dark anomaly had a kind-of dark thread spiralling into it.... At the very beginning, going along the pathway of the formation...at 13 + seconds... And at 1.54 + ...even more clearly..again going along the pathway of the CC... ???? Oh... and welcome to UM Pam.... edit to say...and those shadows look nothing like the nebulous thingy that the OP is referring to... further edit...I put the wrong time...and have now changed it to 1.54 + I put 1.47 + at first because then there was a small aircraft shadow going from left to right... but not along the pathway....and not so clear as the other two times I've given... . . . Maybe my objectivity has get limited meanwhile when it comes to CCs. Maybe the shadow is not caused by the drone but I say that there is a zero likelihood that the shadow was caused by a spacecraft of extraterrestrial origin. Posted May 23, 2014 #12 Share Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) After having another look at the vid Pam.....the larger shadow that you were talking about, looked a little fuzzy to me (could be my eye's though) ? I was wondering whether a small gust of wind may have interfered with the drone camera, and caused the fuzziness and larger shadow...possibly caused in the lens? IDK....just a wild guess I suppose.
