Hmmm, I'm not sure I go along with what was being said in that very short clip of an interview. Quote: "If an owl can move quietly then perhaps planes can too"! Well the first glaring difference between an owl and a plane is that one has an ENGINE!! Plus, owls(and other birds), are quiet when they are gliding .... a little noisier when they are flapping their wings. I'm all for engines being quieter, but I don't see how the inspiration for this can come from a bird.

aside:I've seen sparrow hawks catch prey easily because they fly just a foot or so off the ground. The prey doesn't catch sight of the silhouette against the sky and therefore has no warning.
