'Green flash' meteor sighting reports across Britain

"Its colour has prompted people on Twitter to describe it as the St Patrick's Day meteor."

Ohh, come on people! St Patrick's Day? Pleeease!

"War of the Worlds meteor" for sure!

"And thats how it was for the next ten nights. A flare, spurting out from Mars bright green, drawing a green mist behind it a beautiful, but somehow disturbing sight. Ogilvy the astronomer, assured me we were in no danger. He was convinced that there could be no living thing on that remote forbidding planet."

Oh, the Irish were already having a drink...just wanted to give the UK a nudge to join them. ;)

They don't need to give us a nudge, the Irish got the idea for Guinness from London porter.
