Yeah, I think Dr Tyson hit the nail on the head there. I don't think there's a purpose to the universe either. That doesn't mean each of us can't find a purpose for our lives though...the choice is up to each individual.

To ask if the Universe has a purpose is like asking why the plane I was flying on from NYC to Vegas did not go down but the Malaysian flight did.

Those people had loved ones as I do, yet here I am in my bedroom, but they are not.

I have often since my teens pondered the question...what is the meaning of meaning? I guess this topic is somehow similar. I have the answer that 51 years of living gave me.
