Still Waters Posted April 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2015 Since ancient times, the vast Lake Baikal has been known as deeply mysterious, but in the closing years of the Soviet era, and since, it has been the location of a number of alleged sightings of aliens and UFOs. True or not about Spielberg's interest, the lake is perhaps the biggest focus of UFOs in Russia. http://siberiantimes...s-deepest-lake/

mxcx Posted April 6, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Sightings like this are common in many deep lakes, all over the earth. Extremely common, and for hundreds of years. If 1% of these sightings are true.....
Podo Posted April 6, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 6, 2015 The lake must be producing an awful lot of swamp gas. But seriously, it's interesting that particular spots have more odd skylights than others. Maybe there is some kind of gas that rises and creates luminosity? Gas that forms into intelligently controlled spheres and cylinders, go in and out of water, and lava mind you. Id say unlikely. Who knows? Just not gas.
