Still Waters Posted December 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2014 The restoration of a famous oil painting by John Constable has revealed an image of a tiny kingfisher which was never previously known about. Constable painted the tiny bird flitting across the water in the centre of his painting The Mill Stream which he completed in 1814. The elusive kingfisher was so small that it was covered up by years of accumulated grime and discoloured varnish. http://www.telegraph...e-painting.html
