Pretty much any song written in D minor does it for me. After all D minor is the saddest of all keys.
ohio traveler Posted January 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2011 Sad songs just make me depressed. I try and avoid them.
Nadia B. Posted January 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2011 Every once in a while, you do need a good sad song session, possibly with some bawling. It does make me feel better, though not immediately. Personally, and I hate to admit this, but almost anything off Kelly Clarkson's 2nd album. Pink - Who Knew ... always gets me bawling. It reminds me of the brother I lost. Geez, I actually have a playlist for this at home. I'll get back to you later with less girly songs.
~TheBigK~ Posted January 26, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2011 Here's a thread about this, my reply is on the 2nd page: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=187828&hl=sad%20songs&st=15 It's the most depressing album ever made in my opinion, but it's very good and ends on a positive note. Usually I don't listen to sad songs when I'm sad cause it just makes it worse, I have to be in a really particular mood for stuff like that. Guest Tom_Servo Posted January 26, 2011 #12 Share Posted January 26, 2011 have you heard of the band Cranberries? what is the cause of your saddness? Yes, I know the cranberries. The cause? Geez, I'm not sure I know the answer to be honest with you. Alot of bad things happened to me so I in return did alot of bad things. All I know now is I'm away from home in a town where I know almost noone and I have nothing here. I have no family or car or a purpose it seems. I guess the cause is being alone. Sorry. Dag Green Posted January 28, 2011 #19 Share Posted January 28, 2011 When I think of sad songs I think of Hank Williams.(my fav singer.) imo For some reason when I hear a sad song of his about something im going through I fill better not worse. Its like his music helps my hurt run its coarse. Heres a few. Neath a cold grey tomb of stone.- My son calls another man daddy.- I dreamed about momma last night.- Cold cold heart.- Men with broken hearts.- Lost highway.- Your cheating heart.-Etc. I love hillbilly music but I know people that dont but have still been touched by hanks music. Thanks
Disembodied Voice Posted January 28, 2011 #20 Share Posted January 28, 2011 There is this song that makes me depressed and cry every time I hear it. It's called The Royal We by The Silver Sun Pickups. The lyrics really get to me.

Black Koi Posted February 6, 2011 #22 Share Posted February 6, 2011 Some songs that make me tear a little: Hello by Evanescence Cancer and Disenchanted by My Chemical Romance. Those guys used to to be my FAVORITE a few years ago. I don't listen to them that much anymore but I still like to listen to them from time to time.
