Yes, finally, fellow members of the "Darwin is wrong, Lamarck is right!" brigade! I knew some of y'all existed!

Darwin has completely eclipsed other theories that are just as legitimate for explaining the world! As Jean-Baptiste Lamarck said, a giraffe only got it's long neck because earlier proto-giraffe's stretched their necks. This explains much of our world to a T and it has influenced architecture and design as a whole! I'd like to see some no good rotten Darwinist influence these things!

Yes, Darwin knew nothing. I, as an armchair amateur scientist who sees the world every time I turn the TV on, know for sure how things really work.

Please don't take this seriously, this is a satirical post while also pointing out that Darwin wasn't the first or only person to develop an evolutionary theory that many seem to blame him for. Lamarck's ideas worked pretty well for explaining things for his time with limited data but was proven incorrect through scientific research, something Darwin's theory has survived well against.  ;)

Great post.  The school of armchair science is greatly undervalued.  LOL

Here at Intel we make processors on 12 inch wafers. And, the individual processors on the wafers are called die. And, I am employed to check these die. That is why I am the DieChecker.

I think it is funny how the article goes from...

From the OP Link...

Quote

Modern humans never co-existed with Homo erectus

to...

Quote

The analyses suggest that Homo erectus was gone by at least 143,000 years ago

Quote

Thus, Homo erectus probably did not share habitats with modern humans

Goes from NEVER, to Suggests, to Probably. I kept reading to see where they were going to toss in Maybe and Perhaps.

The reason modern man and homo erectus didn't coexist in the same manner as modern man and apes is because homo erectus devolved separately into Republicans.

Hey, don't insult homo erectus like that.
It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
-Terry Pratchett
