Curious how you do a reading for someone?

Hi all,

Was just curious how people read for others. Do you use cards, names, pics etc... something that helps you connect.

Myself, I use paper and pen, I write the name of the person, weather it be the name they use on this forum or a real name.

I write the name of the person and see what comes to minds eye for present and then I circle the name over and over with pen, counter clockwise for past and clock wise for future to see what comes to minds eye. It's just something that helps me connect.

What helps you connect?

Hi Char,

I'm surprised that no-one has answered your question regarding methods for readings. I think your method is interesting regarding the clockwise or counterclockwise of circling the name of the person, and writing helps some people connect with Spirit. Others connect better with meditation. I personally use cards, but I know a reader who claims things like cards or runes just confuse her.

This leads me to belive that everyone finds their own personal way of connecting. I also believe that everyone is born with the gift to connect with spirit, but it doesn't just fall into anyones lap. Like every other skill a person has to practice and develop that skill.

Anyway, this is a fun topic. Thanks for bringing it up.

Sometimes cards, sometimes you just know. But sometimes nothing helps, so I just pass the sitter by. Although I have been really drawn to making a set of runes.

I've sometimes done readings for people with cards or runes. Always in person, I have them shuffle and cut the cards or have them draw the runes to make the connection.

Occasionally on UM I read a request and stuff just pops into my head upon reading it. Usually images, sounds, smells rather than anything that makes sense. I usually don't have a clue what the stuff means, sometimes I share it anyway.

I think it's amazing how you can just pull details that are phrases, and yet totally relate to the reader. I would like to develop that skill, but I'm not sure how. Any suggestions on that would be much appreciated.

I'd love to help, but got nothing. Just stuff pops up in my head sometimes. Often it makes no sense.

I just join but I am interested on someone who can read by my year of birth which is 02/12/1968 and my pen name here is whisperywhistle by the way I also have the gift since I was a child I have seen and witness many things happening even to people I don't know. I also see in dreams people I have met but they didn't have the gift, I don't used the tarot card or anything if anything I have try running away from it but it happens anyway. Have been able to see even my past life asleep and future events as well. At times even awaken I have seen things with myself taking place while it is not happening.

I use Angel Oracle and Angel Tarot cards to connect with the person I am reading for. I relay the messages that the angels are sending through the cards. I also use my intuition to to relay messages from the cards. It is easier for me to do a reading in person, although I have done many online with success.

Meditation also helps me to receive messages and connect to my higher self. Strangely enough just before during my mediation a young woman that I have never met or seen before came to my minds eye and said " but I have no one" this really disturbed me as I felt her cry for help yet I don't know how to reach her. I have a mental image of exactly what she look like.Sometimes when you develop your gifts it can cause intense emotion as well
