Still Waters Posted May 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2015 Next time you're guzzling water on a nice summer day you might want to think about where its come from. There's a new video on YouTube that suggests all water was once dinosaur urine. An American science channel called Curious Minds has posted the video analysing the Earth's water cycle. http://www.courier.c...tail/story.html
Aftermath Posted May 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2015 There's a new video on YouTube that suggests all water was once dinosaur urine. Oh well. It hasn't killed me yet and it's oh so refreshing!
Kenemet Posted May 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2015 You could also say that all water is fish pee or algae excreta, etc, etc. I'm calling "bogus" ... unless they mean it in the same way that homeopathic products do (where one drop per thousand or hundred thousand drops is considered "medicine.") There's water in volcanoes (part of lava, part of magma) that was not in any way associated with any living thing.

questionmark Posted May 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2015 well, summer is nigh and real news are scarce.... All water on this planet has been, at one time or another, part of a biological organism. So what?

AZDZ Posted May 28, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) I doubt ALL of it was once dino pee but certainly some of it was. It is surprising that so many people are surprised by how the water cycle works. Edited May 28, 2015 by AZDZ

seeder Posted May 28, 2015 #12 Share Posted May 28, 2015 Ha Dino pee to worry about? When you flush away your poops and pee...it goes into a foul smelling sewer, along with exctreted hormones and the various drugs we take... which is then filtered quite quickly into drinkable water again and put back in the water supply! Now compare that to dino pee..
Infernal Gnu Posted May 29, 2015 #13 Share Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) Damn, it's bad enough that I have avoided all swimming pools for years because people secretly pee in pools and every swimmer adds approximately .14 grams of their poop to the pool. Now I find out that even if I am the Very First Person in the pool it is still recycled dino pee! I hate hate hate this closed system we are trapped in. Now compare that to dino pee.. I used to work with a person that had previously worked at a water treatment plant. We were joking about it one day and he asked me if I knew where tap water came from and then he just smiled. No more needed to be said. So now that ive been brought up to speed. My numerous cups of coffee that I enjoy daily are made from recycled human poop, pee and Dino urine. To go with sweetener and creamer of course.
.ZZ. Posted May 29, 2015 #15 Share Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) Like most American cities, our water is tested annually. From our 2014 report: Microbial contaminants, such as viruses and bacteria, which may come from sewage treatment plants, septic systems, agricultural livestock operations, and wildlife. Inorganic contaminants, such as salts and metals, which can be naturally-occurring or result from urban storm water runoff, industrial or domestic waste water discharges, oil and gas production, mining, or farming. Pesticides and herbicides, which may come from a variety of sources such as agriculture, urban storm water runoff. Yum, I think I'll make another pot of coffee. Piney Posted May 30, 2015 #19 Share Posted May 30, 2015 Since both our wells (we have 2 on our property) are below former coal beds I'm getting the fresh stuff and since they started fracking on our hill at my father-in-laws we get dinosaur farts out of the faucet there too.
