Chris_com28 Posted February 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2004 I heard this is some how related to OBEs and is supposed to be prodiced while in darkness. Someone lived in darkness for 14 days and he started to see in infer red and ultra violet which was caused by the natural production of DMT and another drug. How useful could this be for an aid to OBEs? How else can it be produced by the brain?
geeohn Posted February 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2004 i don't know if people will be able to see infer red or other lights in the dark like cats do. but, i heard that people held in jail in the dark for a number of days go blind. It was a human rights issue out in south america.

Stamford Posted February 16, 2004 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2004 firstly whats DMT and OBEs? OBE means Out of Body Experiences. As for DMT? I have been told that this is a chemical that is released upon death and causes OBE's; this may explain why people who have been brought back often describe OBE's and the tunnel of light.
