CD? ooh no ... here comes Ronald Pegg with his "time travellers with a 386 computer" to claim they were also on Mars.

I must not fear. Fear is the Mind-Killer. It is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and to move through me. And when it is gone I will turn the inner eye to see it's path.
When the fear is gone, there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

I love how all these people that are no way experts in Martian geology, or even geology of any sort, keep finding all these "mysterious" objects on Mars. If I didn't know better, I'd think that it was nothing more than pareidolia at work, but that's NEVER the answer, right? Right? :unsure2:

Ice Warriors. It was the Ice Warriors. Those manned missions back in the 70s got them all excited. And sloppy, apparently.

  • I tried to enter my favorite quote but the data limit was breached so you get this. Pretty anti-climatic isn't it?

It's probably, "Something Else".

Has NASA made any statements as to what this might be?

Looks man made, if not the old pareidolia playing tricks on our minds again?

To be continued I guess,...

I still await the compelling Exhibit A.

Gold foil stuff is/was used on rovers right? Maybe something from the parachute or rocket that the rover landed with... OR....a Justin beiber CD that aliens hated and slung out their waste disposal chute while zipping over mars?

I don't think that's a hole in the center.  On close-up, it looks more like a rock right in the center of whatever the object is.

Either something fell off the Rover, or it's just pareidolia, like the others said.
