Gen. Galtiera used the Falkland Islands to deflect attention from his own Juntas failings, and now, Pres. Kirchner is doing the same thing. She is Mired in Corruption and Money Laundering accusations in her own country....

"Argentinean President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was this week trying to dodge more questions regarding her personal wealth after a well-known investigative journalist accused an influential businessman of helping her and her late husband launder some 55 million euros abroad."

Does not mention the Falklands and also not the protests and riots. But she could mention them again when everyone ignores her again.

The Falklands is her Raison D'etre, she knows it will stir Argentine Passions and so it deflects from her own, internal, problems. Basically, just like Galtieri.

If she decides to invade the Falklands again then the Argentine will be behind her - "lets forget about the Money Laundering". The Argentine can be led like sheep.

Argentina is in dire straits, they lied about the state of their economy making matters ten times worse. the wheels have come off the bus. - their strongest ally Hugo Chavez is no more. Argentina have not got the military to re-take the islands. end of.  a while ago the cruise ship 'star princess' who sails under the red ensign docked at the Argentine port of Ushuaia. to protests due to sailing under the flag and for stopping at the Falklands. the captain of star princess responded to the violent protests by playing 'God Save the Queen' over the ships loud speaker system.  - Brilliant.
