hello, i'm wondering if you've had a lucid dream, what is it like? Is it indistiguishable from reality? or is it just some vague experience? and do you have any special techniques you prefer to have them? thanks for any replies I get!

From my experience, they are very indistinguishable from this reality that you are experiencing now, it is like any other dream that you have. You'll know when your lucid dreaming because you can "think" exactly the way you are thinking now, your just in the dream world while doing so. If you compare that with a non lucid dream, in those, you dont think about all the bizarre things that are happening, you just dream it and dont question it. To induce a lucid dream, I think something has to trigger your thought process up while dreaming so you start questioning things and then realize that you are dreaming. I don't have any recommendations of techniques that might do the trick, I havent had the motivation to try something out with my full potentional. So that is probably important if you want to succeed. :sleepy:

For me, I think it is the process of slowly waking up that causes my brain to become more active, so it is easier to start questioning things when that happens. I usually have what feels like 1 minute to 15 seconds left before waking up after having this realization, there might be a few where I had a bit longer, it feels like there is a balance between the awake and asleep state, I try to control it, but eventually I lose it and wake up. I also remember that there has been occasions where I had a lucid dream middle of the night "I presume it was" but ended up losing it and continued dreaming the dream as a normal dream.

I have had these plenty of times and personally love them. I think it's suppose to happen during the transition of non rem and rem sleep. Most you dreams you are just a spectator and cant really control what you are doing. These dreams occur when you know you are dreaming and can control your.....avatar i guess....and let me tell you sir many bad thinks have happened to Rachel McAdams in these dreams of mine o.O
