Ever since the shuttle program ended, NASA has been paying Russia to ferry U.S. astronauts to the International Space Station. But the price-per-seat aboard Russia’s spacecraft has gotten ridiculous. The solution is clear and cost-effective: The US needs its own space taxis. So why won’t Congress pay for it?

Dammit, Congress: Just Buy NASA its Own Space Taxi, Already

Yes, we should have a space system... but, someone shut it down..

The only way we could survive something dire is space ability.

It's only temporary. We had a similar manned spaceflight hiatus between the Apollo and Shuttle programs. With private sector participation, we're not putting all our eggs in one basket, this time.

In an open letter to Congress today, ex-astronaut and current NASA head honcho Charles F. Bolden Jr. shared some choice words: Quit wasting money, and start sending US astronauts to space aboard US spacecraft.

Boeing’s commercial space taxi is now officially named Starliner

Boeing has a new name for its future commercial space taxi. Originally titled the CST-100, the company renamed the vehicle the Starliner.
