I didn't mean any type of insult with the Mini-Mod comment.  :D

Just a junior/senior type of thing.

*glad I apologized in advance*

But to the point at hand, it is just semantics, but I really don't think its all that accurate to call the new moderators mini-mods, they have basically all of the same moderating tools that the senior staff have, and can easily contact senior mods to follow through with anything needed.  I think it is better for overall understanding if members try to get into the routine of viewing the newly "mod"ified posters as official moderators, as they have all the same basic authority and input with the other mods and Saru, and have pretty much all the same responsibilities; if you must look at things being dramatically changed, the senior mod staff have achieved Ascension and are now perfect beings of pure energy who happen to moderate the forums, when not doing all those "perfect being of pure energy" things that they (we) do. =)

I for one welcome our new mod overlords. May their reign of terror be long and fruitful.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth a war, is much worse...A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

The ratio of senior moderators to moderators is currently the way it is because the moderator group is still new and we are only just beginning to recruit staff members to fill that position, the numbers should even out eventually over time.

It was only a joke, Saru - with no hidden content. I usually work for smaller size companies, and saw plenty of cases when there is more managers than workers.

Yeah, but you can just PM yourself a warning when you get outta hand...

Come to think of it...make that reason number 1 I should never be a mod...I'd be policing myself all the time, while the rest of the boards went to heck!

"OK, egg, calm down now, that was inappropriate."

"Damn it, it's E-Q Gumby! Do you see two G's there!?"

Hey, have you been reading my own PM's to myself? That's against the rules you know. You've just substituted your name for mine ;)

Me too, but I'm not sure how to suspend myself. However there is this big red button marked "self destruct", with the instructions, "do not press under any circumstances". I'm so tempted.

You mere mortals just can not grasp the vast responsibility that comes with moderatorship. The secret handshake alone took me 3 months to perfect, and you should see the instruction manual for the death ray.
